The ACTUAL quote was "Houston we've HAD a problem" but it gets misquoted all the time. Don't feel bad though because even Neil Armstrong messed up his line on the moon by saying "it's one small step for man" when he was supposed to say "it's one small step for A man". Although supposedly some audio specialists tested the tape on that and proved that he actually probably didn't mess the quote up but just wasn't clearly understood. I know things I'm ashamed to admit. LOL!

Yeah I took that play with a grain of salt too. I liked that he split two defenders but I didn't like that he threw it in to such a tight window. I also like that X-Man made the grab though.

Props to Dobbs for the rebound in the game.

I know I'm probably in the minority but I wouldn't mind sering more of Bart Houston.

He missed 4 throws. 1 drop. He threw 1 low when he diagnosed a busted screen play. He of course had 2 overthrows, but those didn't concern me too much, as he won't overthrow AB and Martavis. Will have to recheck the tape to see if he threw them too early.

He looked more confident and comfortable than Dobbs.

I want Dobbs to be good, and yes he did rebound with those Cobi throws, but I really just don't think he is ready this year.

Will have to see how the rest of the pre season goes but with tough decisions at WR and CB, not sure we can keep a spot for a project 3rd QB.

Well we're gonna keep 3 we always do....so what are our options ....practice squad...don't know if we'd risk that...

Houston was really Landry Jones wearing a different jersey.

In Columbus, got the Mother-in-law to buy the NFL channel so I could watch the game....

NFL network is showing A Football Life: Joe Namath because the Bengals are playing on the local channel....

I hate the NFL and their outdated area and market crap!

Honestly I don't see the point in keeping him or Toussaint for that matter.....I would put two RBs on the practice squad...Watson and whoever else they think deserves it ,Trey Williams has been getting some love too so maybe him.....backups are really a dime a dozen. I loved what I saw from Hilton and I definitely want to keep 6 WRs...still keeping a light on for Golson and would hate to have to choose between the two ....if Golson can get on the field I think he will produce....I know it might be unconventional but this team needs depth at WR and CB...

I'll tell you what... Hilton was impressive. Sack, fumble recovery and another splash play. Dude has his nose around the football. He was my 5 star player of the game. It's early yet obviously, but I will keep my eye on that guy.

How could have Watt been more impressive? He alone was the great news of the night.

Thank God we should not have to live with Toussaint.

Sorry - once it passes the med rare state it is no longer considered meat - it turns into the material they use on the bottom of shoes and make briefcases from. :beathorse:

I had the poster in my dorm room with Armstrong stepping off the ladder onto a pile of doggy doo. And that was way before fake news became so fashionable.

I'd have to have another look, but initially Houston looked more comfortable.

That said, he's obviously under a bit less pressure, and the run game seemed a bit more settled at that point.

I imagine we'll see more of him this preseason. He may be a safe stash on the practice squad, mind.

    Looked lost... 65,71 and 96
    Played slow.. 96, 33, 88 and 95
55 missed the QB chasing the decoy RB. Earlier in the same type play 90 sacked the QB not chasing the RB fake.

    Awesome showing for 40, 90, 19

    80 had some nice blocks.

Dobbs looked like he was on coke to start.. But the OL was not really giving him time. 33 was not helping at all. Missing 26, 84, 14, 10..
65 nearly had dobss killed a few times.

Still think Finney is better at guard now then Foster.

We still have a few weeks to go but I'm just not sure if putting Dobbs on the PS is that much of a risk.

Who would actually get more reps, a PS QB or a 3rd string QB?

What's funny though is that Dobbs was supposed to be the one with accuracy problems and although he did make some inaccurate throws Houston was missing pretty wildly too. Apparently Landry sent out a tweet during the game that had him waving with the caption "Miss Me Yet?" LOL!
