Will he get all 60 minutes or is there someone behind him we got?

Local news suggest Dobbs would get first 2 quarters plus maybe part of 3rd. Based on what source? With Ben and LJ out, last choice is Bart Houston. Yippie.

I say give him all 4 quarters to work through it and get some PT and some good film to study. So far, it has gone like one would expect from a rook late rounder. Same issues that have been knocks on him for the past 4 years.

I know you are a big proponent of QB coaching. Plenty of coachable material for a QB coach with Dobbs from the first half.

I'm with this. I never thought he would replace Jones as the #2 but you have to be mindful of the overreactions from preseason week 1. I remember wondering if Jones could complete a pass in his rookie preseason too.

I actually think after his first down scramble he has settled down nicely.

If Dobbs has to play during the regular season the Steelers are in trouble .

It will help and getting all this playing time will also.

I have no doubt he can get alot better especially just having football to worry about. Everyone knows he has a Aeronautical Engineering degree but many don't know he also got his Biomedical Engineering Degree and a minor in Business Administration all in 3 and half years while playing football.

Ummmm ok dude. None of that matters on the field. I dont give a sh*t if he is Albert freaking Einstein. He has to be able to look off a DB and see the passing tree. Being a rocket scientist doesn't mean diddly squat as an NFL QB.

Your not using your brain. He has no school to worry about. Do you know how hard it would be to do all that in that amount of time while playing football?

If you expected him to play lights out and him a rookie that's your fault.

I'm not passing judgement. I'm just saying I've seen this for 4 years.

You going to mention no help from the OL blocking or the balls the receivers dropped or just blame Dobbs?

Your orange-tinted glasses are impairing your vision homeboy. Being a great college student and good kid aren't important attributes for being a serviceable NFL QB

No doubt the man is smart. There's absolutely no question about that. But many engineers are different. Many that I've worked with suffer from analysis paralysis. Playing football doesn't require the brain of a rocket scientist.

Seems like we saw this (and heard the same kind of hype) in 2008 with a guy who had initials DD.

Yea we need a quote from Dobbs like from Cordale Jones " I ain't come play school". Lol

Anywhoo my glasses are tinted black and yellow. I've been a Steelers fan probably longer than you have been alive.

    He finished the night,

    8-15 for 100 yards. 1TD. 2 INT.
16 yards rushing on 1 carry.

Not bad at all. And like I said, after that 1st down scramble he settled down.

Dobbs' interception gets Ju Ju hurt. The damage he did tonight cancels out whatever good he might have done. Drafting Dobbs was a bad joke.

Lol you even watch the game?

"JuJu Smith-Schuster will not return to Friday's preseason game after suffering a concussion, the Steelers announced in the second quarter.

The Steelers' rookie appeared to suffer an injury on special teams near the end of the first quarter. "

Oh for crying out loud. Juju got himself hurt by leading with his helmet.

You don't know jack about me so save your presumptuous drivel for your other homeboys. Further, that stat line isn't something to brag about. Especially against the #2's and #3's and guys that won't be on a roster in a couple weeks. Dobbs showed exactly what was expected - not much to get excited about. Unfortunately, Landry's roster spot is not in jeopardy.

He went out with a concussion after a special teams play. Dobbs doesn't play special teams, you know this right?

That stat line isn't far off from a #1 draft pick preseason game. Can you guess who?

Ok I will quote the article again since reading comprehension isn't your strongest attribute.

"JuJu Smith-Schuster will not return to Friday's preseason game after suffering a concussion, the Steelers announced in the second quarter.

The Steelers' rookie appeared to suffer an injury on special teams near the end of the first quarter. "
