I don't care if it's just preseason......

....I am excited to have ANY NFL action back, starting in about an hour. I like seeing how the rookies and young guys look. I don't care that the outcome is meaningless. I am celebrating regardless.

 

Guess pass interference is going to be blindly called whenever the receiver wants it...still.

 

I watched the first drive and just couldn't take the fact that every time they talked about the hall of fame class they would start with Jerry Jones. Sorry can't stand the guy so I changed the channel cause with the Cryboys playing you knew it would be a slobfest over him.........

 

Well... watching that game... Jarvis Jones and Taco Charlton have work to do... Taco looked a bit lazy... at least jarvis runs around...

 

It did start pretty Cowboy-centric, but in the 2nd half they really did a good job of covering all the 2017 inductees...well, that was after Jerry actually joined the broadcast booth for a long while. I used to loath Jones, but with age (I guess) my hatred has subsided. He's not my hero or anything, but he doesn't anger me like he used to. He did have a funny story about how when he got home, after he fired Jimmy Johnson, his wife just laid there and didn't say anything for a while. And then, after a period of silence she said, "You just couldn't leave things be, could you? Even when everything was going so well, you had to mess with it, didn't you?" By the 2nd half I was barely paying attention to the game but instead getting into all the discussions with the HOF inductees. It was interesting to me, maybe not to most.

All I know if the NFL is officially back and I love it. And yes, Taco came out looking soft. And also, once again, Jarvis Jones was overrated where they said he was "a great pass rusher." Why do announcers continue to overrate the guy, not matter what reality dictate?

 

It was interesting that Ladainian Tomlinson stated that Le'Veon Bell would be his first pick as today's running back. Bell's asking price just shot up to $20 M a year with that endorsement. Sure hope LT doesn't have part ownership in Baltimore or NE.

 

I am not a Jones fan at all so I didn't even give it a chance, also I am not into all the Cryboy love so I couldn't get into it. I guess I am still in summer mode I love football but I am not ready for football season yet. The last few years it ha been getting worse and worse, September is a hard month for me as it is the last little bit of good weather I am going to see.

As for Taco and Jarvis that is good to hear as I am not wanting either to look good, lol.

 

Ha ha here we go again Blast picking right up where we left off, I love summer. Golf, Campfire, Beer, Baseball, BBQ, Cornhole....the list goes on and on. For me Summer is the best time of year, is it hot yeah but the answer to that is....more beer. I agree with you about womens attire or should I say the lack of it is a very good positive of the hot weather.

 

This actually happened to me just today. I delivered to a house and this woman comes outside on the porch in nothing but a tee shirt, barefooted, and smoking a cigarette! I was like "Uh...well... here ya go..." LOL! I got back in my package car in pretty much disbelief at what had just happened. Although I'm not really surprised since she also had rebel flags hanging from the porch of her trailer too. I imagine she's the kind of girl who has had men fight over her saying "YOU KISSED MY SISTER!" and then the other guys says "Yeah well she was my sister FIRST!" Not exactly Jennifer Aniston coming to the door.

Yeah as a joke I texted my supervisor at my next stop and said "I gave her your number" and he said "that's why you're my guy..." LOL!!! I've not even got to tell my wife about it yet. She'll think it's funny because of how uber conservative I am about stuff like that and can't stand to see women dressed all provocatively. I'd rather just see a woman look like a lady. TTF will probably ban me for even saying such things. LOL! It's like on The Office when Michael Scott says "we'l get a male stripper" and Angela says "Under NO circumstances should a man strip in this office!!!" and Meredith says "SHUT UP ANGELA!!!" LOL!!!

 

Oh no I think deep down we agreed on so much more for example......Harlan Miller and Tyler Higbee

On a serious note I think we agree on a little more than the Steelers and womens clothes, however womens clothes is a great place to start.

For the record I am thinking summer in my part of the state is a lot nicer than summer in your part of the state.

 

Not unless you're in a pool or at the beach.
