Maybe Ben is trying to be the new Bus and sorta get the team to rally around him for one last ride. Either way I really wish he would just shut up about this in general. He's one of my favorite players ever. My son is named after him. But man sometimes he annoys me with unnecessary drama. I don't want the narrative of this season to be after every bad loss the media then goes right to Ben and says "Is this making you lean more toward retirement??? Is this factoring in to your decision??? Can you take many more of these losses???" and blah, blah, blah. Just play until you don't play and don't become the new Favre in that you talk about retiring for 10 years straight. I don't want our qb to be the Kiss of of qb's in that he has a "farewell tour" on a yearly basis. Kiss is terrible and I don't want Ben to be terrible.

Normally I would think this, but he seems committed to this year.

I mean he was asked about it and has already said it was year to year so of course if a reporter asks that's going to be the answer.

Most star athletes announce when its their last season at the beginning of the year. Lot of fans appreciate that rather then, goodbye, I'm done, never see me playing again.

I can't recall anyone else who has done the same thing that had to answer silly questions about commitment after each loss. To think Ben is not giving it his all, is pretty silly.

Yeah all Ben cares about is winning. He wouldn't be out there if he didn't want to win.

If the Steelers win the Super Bowl, he may announce his retirement. Or, he may be motivated to win another so he would tie Terry Bradshaw for Super Bowl titles.

The guy has given our team 2 Super Bowl Championships. He is beat down. He has taken a beating. Yes, fault of his own in some cases because thats the way he plays. I appreciate his play. They were so close last season and the bitter taste that game left was enough to fuel his retirement talk. I'm sure he wants a better result to ride off into the sunset. Hopefully he gets that opportunity this season, wins the SB MVP (he should have one already) then leaves. I feel if all the pieces fall into place, Bell and Bryant stay clean and healthy and we lose no major players to injury this team should go all the way. Long season though but beast prepare, enjoy this season because I feel this might be the last for Big Ben...

Yeah if he had said oh I think I will be back next year everyone would slay him for talking about retiring last offseason. He answered it truthfully what else do they want from him b

Should the Steelers do the unthinkable and bring in 41 year old Tom Brady for 2018? Pending BB retires. Also if he's released by the cheats.

Tom Brady won't be released by 2028. Also we don't even need Brady because we have Josh Dobbs and he's a rocket scientist.

You can say what you want about Josh Dobba, but I'll tell you one thing: he's no Laundry Jones.
