AVs stats would counter your argument that he isnt worthy of a 4 -5 year deal, he only gave up 1 sack in his last 10 games and Munchak has made him into a top LT with only 31 starts to teach him the position, pay the man and watch him make the pro bowl this year or next....

AV reported to camp today without a contract.

Hope they can come to an agreement, this guy is all class and total team guy.

I think Bell plays the next 2 years under the franchise tag. I don't hunk he was joking when he said he wanted 15 mill a year and there is no way in hell they give that to him.

The Steelers will offer a fair contract as they always do. They have been the class of the league since 1933. Nothing has changed.

    They also will not overpay.

All the more reason Le'Veon Bell could very well be gone after this season. Not saying he will but signing a franchise tender given his history is quite generous.

Diamond that article is slanted and jumps to some Grand Canyon sized conclusions. I'm pretty jaded when it comes to contracts in the NFL and the Steelers but even I think that article was a stretch. Yes the Steelers are thrifty and yes they have made hard choices with players before but I don't think they are using their Web site to apply pressure to AV to take a deal that is less than top dollar. He is a team guy and will do what's best for the team as well as his family and the Steelers will make an offer that reflects that.
