I am reading these post that hate where we picked the guys, not necessarily the pick. Does everyone realize we pick late each Round?
I have seen people say we don't need a WR? Do u remember last year when brown would have double and triple coverage? Are we really comfortable depending on Bryant or Justin hunter?
Even if we aren't and people say pick one later. 7 were drafted between the 2nd pick and our 3rd. I didn't think this draft was deep at wr?
I hear trade up. Well then we don't have the picks to help ourselves today. I still see some pretty good defensive players on the board. I don't know who we take but I do know I think we have a pretty good plan.

I will admit. I was ticked we let foster get by us and passed on Williams. Then it hit me. Same as last year. Character matters again. They are not gonna get burned again. I also think that is why Bryant isn't being counted on. His tweets last night, even though I think he was joking, didn't help his case.

I think a guy like cam Sutton can play. I have been at some events he was at and he is a great kid. He has speed and great man skills. He was hurt this past year and cominget off an injury. If not for that. He is a top 5 corner in this draft easily

I think people are just shocked at two early offensive players when everyone thought the defense was the focus.

After initial shock of a WR at the 2 spot, I love the pick. The kid is going to be a fan favorite.

Conners is a great pick, DWill is not coming back. Steelers dont have the luxury of saying, we'll wait and get him or another later.
I thought he'd go in the 4th, its not a terrible reach, not really a reach at all, we're picking 30th.

We shored up the offense with those two picks, people forget how much it struggled last year. I disagree with you on Bryant though, think he is very much in their plans and needs to be. JuJu doesn't give you what Bryant does, he'll move the chains and be a great redzone target.

I guess what I meant about Bryant was can they count on him? lets face it. he kid had issues at Clemson and still didn't learn his lesson. I hope he has. he is a stud on the field. its just he is an absolute idiot off

Byrant, Brown, JuJu are safe.. The rest of them need to save their jobs.

And yes we are drafting #30.. It sucks... We get the 30th top 4th rounder today... The Steelers seemed to have done their homework on the late rounders, knowing they were drafting #30... Hopefully they pull out a few great sleepers today.

I love the Watt pick. I think we screwed up Day 2. We had much greater needs than WR in Rd.2. We got a soft CB. I like Conner but I think we're all being over-influenced by his incredible personal story. Colbert just won't move up/down to help himself but I always have a love/hate reaction to his drafts anyway. I really loved the top 3 last year. Hated the Jarvis and Golson picks. Whatever. They don't ask me.

Like I had said earlier, I hadn't had time to watch much of him before the draft. Now I'm watching everything I can find, and really liking what I'm seeing. I'm not sure how anyone can call him "soft." The only signs that I saw on tape that could be called softness were a few less-than-enthusiastic tackle attempts on Henry in 2015 (but that can said of literally every college corner who had to tackle Henry).

No reason to be sorry. All good. I see someone who plays small.

One thing about Sutton, does he ever have some pretty INTs.

he is Tennessee all time leader in pass defenses. that is saying a lot. keep watching. you will see that he don't play small

That's his one drawback, as is the case with any other smaller corner. He can be beaten by size (and there is some tape showing that). He really has no weaknesses as a slot corner though, and I personally really like our outside corners anyway.

Which is evidence of nothing. I'm certainly not alone with concerns about his physicality. I mean, we'll see. I hope he turns into a pro-bowler. I'm just saying why I didn't like our Day 2 picks.

As opposed to your rock solid evidence that he is soft?

Do you like our current secondary to spread fear into
other NFL teams? Especially the Pats. 2 parts were missed
    in this draft.

No but Mitchell is main reason why and his replacement wasn't there unless we did that in 1st. Look, are we the best secondary in the league?no. Can watt getting to the qb? I thank so. Can Sutton Help? I know so. Davis has a year under his belt along with burns. We have been told we will see more man. I am ready to put chips on table and see. I believe we will be alot better.
Let's say we just improve to top half of the league. We added parts to help both sides of the ball. We did make championship game u know

Honestly I think we could make some small changes to the draft and be happy.

    Remove Long Snapper
Slide picks 3b through 5 down one spot
    Draft TE at spot 3b

If those happened I can't see a problem with this draft.

Steel I value yours and everybody's opinion, I like the players we selected
I believe we could have been more (proactive) in the second round to improve our secondary. We will just have to play it out, who knows what the Steelers plans are.
I think we should have had a ball hawking safety in the second, but it is only my opinion.
Mike Mitchell is a very weak link in pass defense.

I agree but I think moving up was only way to get one without reaching. I wish we would have as well. I wanted Mitchell replacement bad.
I was hoping for Eddie jackson but the injury is why he fell. I don't know anyone else later that could come in and play. I really believe if that run on them didn't happen we would have took one

Trading up sounds like reaching... your just using leverage to reach.

I know that I've harped on the Dobbs pick a lot but it's actually the Conner pick that bothers me the most. We could have easily have chosen a different player there and signed Steven Jackson in free agency and would have been guaranteed incredible production from a proven great back instead of reaching for a rookie that will probably never be as good as Steven Jackson. I mean Steven Jackson was even AT THE DRAFT and yet not a single light bulb went off in mgmt's head??? But oh well. What's done is done.

Disagree. Trading up is making a determination that the one guy is more valuable to you than the two or more guys that you would acquire later absent the trade. A reach is taking someone to fill a specific positional need even though there are guys that you grade considerably higher at other positions. A trade up may or may not be a reach depending on where the targeted player ranks on your board.

I've learned from many years of experience. It's pointless to get excited or pissed about the '17 draft. We won't know anything about it until next January and how it panned out.
