Ryan Fitzpatrick went to Harvard and has never met a pick he couldn't throw. Tim Tebow rescues kittens from burning buildings on his way to single handedly build multiple orphanages daily. Doesn't mean either of them should be our potential future franchise qb. Still hope Dobbs is a beast in the waiting though.

There are fair critiques and criticisms of Dobbs. He was a 4th round pick for a reason. But he doesn't lack any of the key requirements of a QB. He has the arm, the legs, the head, and the intangibles required of the position.

Accuracy is a function of mechanics, and mechanics are taught and built up.

Even Jesus himself wouldn't help us beat pats. Just gotta hope some other team does.

Being smart doesn't help with accuracy though, just saying.

honestly buddy I don't know. he exceeded my expectations at Tennessee. he exceeded my expectations in this process. can he be? I really wouldn't bet against a kid who when he wants to do something, he always has

I would have thought a TE would have been a better pick and quicker to contribute. Damn it Denver, you took my hometown boy.

Don't get me wrong. If he can be coached up and help us win games and not just games but trophies then I'm totally fine with that. I will buy his jersey and wear it proudly. But from living 25 minutes from Neyland my entire life I've probably not heard of a qb around here that was more divisive than Dobbs. UT is just not a great "qb school". There have CERTAINLY been guys here that could get it done in COLLEGE but their game didn't translate to the pro level. Except for Manning of course. Going back to Andy Kelly in my lifetime the only notable qb we've sent to the pros has been Manning. Schuler didn't work out. Tee Martin didn't work out. Crompton, Ainge, Bray, and a lot of others couldn't get it done. Ironically, though, I'm not sure if you know this but Chad Pennington is from here in Knoxville and played at a really exclusive private school called Webb and UT didn't sign him for some reason and he was more solid in the pros than all those other guys. Although he couldn't stay healthy.

I would've have said dobbs is better than Prescott. you never know. Prescott wasn't that good at state. he was decent but could never win the big game. dobbs has done that

I feel exactly like you do. He has DEFINITELY exceeded my expectations in getting drafted this early and especially by us. Or maybe I should say that Tomlin and Colbert have DEFIED my expectations? LOL!

Being intelligent absolutely helps with accuracy, as long as the mechanics and fundamentals are in place creating a solid delivery base.

Intelligence allows you to process information faster and make quicker decisions, which improves accuracy.

Dobbs accuracy issue are a combination of base mechanics and delivery mechanics. Those can be fixed, just like Garrett did with Dak.

I WILL say this though. Dobbs is a crap ton better than Bray and Tomlin was also here in Knoxville visiting with that kid too. I'm sure 1031 will back me up on this.

Duh, at least he was on the field and also got a sack. A project QB isn't going to do anything either.

Kazee is gone, so the next best corner in this draft might be Corn Elder. Has he been picked yet?

Yeah but man think of how many bandwagon fans we will get around here if Dobbs does good. LOL! It will be like Peyton Manning all over again and if that happens I will just not be able to live with myself. LOL!
