Who is our #2 and 3?

 

I wanted us to sign a vet WR this off season because MB is as insanely talented as he is stupid. We signed Hunter. I was good with that.

Brown, Bryant and Rogers are 1-3. Coates will get reps. We signed Hunter. We have Heyward-Bey. Ayers and Hamilton are around. WR in the 2nd was stupid.

It just doesn't add up with the 2nd pick? See list of receivers above,
somebody's gotta go, could we package some of these players for a
safety to replace Mike Mitchell? Him and Cockrell are our weak links.

Bens conversation about retirement may have meant nothing or maybe it did mean " get me a god damn receiver that can catch and stay on the field"

Brown, Bryant, Smith-Schuster, Rogers, Coates, DHB, Hunter in that order, in my opinion. They will keep 6 at the most, so DHB & Hunter are on the bubble.

 

One thing this pick does is put Bryant on notice and for him to send stupid tweets to teammates just shows how immature he really is.

I can see the Rooney's looking at serious offers for his talent. Hate to be skeptical but that's just the way I see it.

 

No way. They want to see Bryant succeed and will do everything they can to make sure that happens.

Great pick, this kid is the real deal, watched him play since freshman, he has big hands 10 1/2 and catches everything thrown his way, he is physical and contests every throw, double coverage doesnt bother him and being the number 2 this season is a strong possibility, Ben had to be smiling from this pick, he ran a 4.5 at the combine plenty good enough to match his physical style of play, I wanted us to draft him before the draft and said so on this board and mentioned yesterday taking a WR in the 2 or 3 round BPA was quite possible...

The best comparison for Smith-Schuster of the current players in the NFL is that of All-Pro wide receiver Dez Bryant. Much like Bryant, Smith-Schuster is a strong, physical player who isn’t afraid of running routes across the middle of the field and thrive to make spectacular jump ball catches. On the positive side, Ben needs weapons to throw to. Outside of AB, we don't have much reliability. Wasn't a need pick, but I can see him replacing one of the scrub wr's we have, but don't see much impact as a rookie

My point was we can't count on Coates or Bryant at this point. Which makes wr a major need. Look what happened last year when we had brown and nothing else
