Who is on your list of guys you don't want? Specifically Rd 1 but can fall under, don't want him at all.

Im worried the Steelers will call Derek Rivers name tomorrow. I don't want him at all but especially at 30. They've showed a lot of interest in him, have a feeling he will be a day 1 or 2 pick. Stiff hips and no bend is a poor recipe for an NFL edge rusher. They should learn from Jarvis and just say no to Rivers.

Im not sold on Lawson either but day 2, I could live with but prefer others.

Ive heard McCaffery mentioned as a rd 1, no freaking way, don't want that at all. Love the player and if he miraculously fell to the 3rd rd, scoop him up. No sooner than that. He's going first rd though, just better not be to us.

Any WR or Oline rd 1.

Any QB - tv will be broken
David Njoku - tv will be shut off
    Jarrad Davis - obscenities ensue
    Zack Cunningham - see above
Carl Lawson - lots of head scratxhing

The Davis one is unnerving because we met with him so many times. From what I'm reading he could be long gone though. Let's hope.

    I just don't see Lawson as a Round d 1 talent.

I know I keep seeing Rivers name but I can't believe he is in play at #30. I know we've spent alot of time with him but I think that's because we like him in round 2, if not 3. I don't even know if Rivers will be ready to make an impact this year.

Give me a S, CB or ready to go OLB.

Ray Fittipald has been mocking him to us. Had this to say about him:

I honestly havent looked a lot at this player, going by what he said and if accurate, I wouldn't hate the pick. You know who I prefer though at CB.

Ha! I forgot about the McCaffery discussions a few months ago. He seems solidified as a Top 20 pick, maybe Top 10 (I have him at #8 to the Panthers). I will admit I only watched a couple of his games, but he is a top talent, and I'm not sure if you pass on that kind of talent if he slides to #30.

Like SC NB says, Rivers has to be in consideration for Day 2. There's no way we take him at #30. God, I hope not....

The knock on him is that he's a terrible tackler. I watched 3 or 4 of his games, and I can say that I agree that his tackling wasn't all that hot, but I don't think it was any worse than I saw with Eli Apple last year. What he does do really well is press man coverage, and he can do it out of the slot or outside. If we do take him, he's an instant significant upgrade over Gay in the slot if we want to use man coverage. He'll stick to an Edelman or Hogan like glue.

I put White and Awuzie in the same category. Round 2 talent nickel corners. They are talented. I'm just not sure I want to burn a 1st round pick on a pure nickel corner. Then again, with Conley likely not being selected tomorrow, Adoree and the 2 Nickel guys could get pushed up.

Don't sleep on Cordrea Tankersley at #30. Eerily similar to Artie Burns. Would kind of have that surprise factor like Burns last year.

OLB/S/CB is all I want to see, and I'd prefer OLB so that we don't need to send 6 guys to have a chance at a sack

There's games of Rivers to be found but I don't find it great film in order to break down. My usual complaint with small school sleepers.

So I have to go on his production and Senior Bowl footage where he more or less dominated. I have reservations and I wold be more comfortable taking him in the 3rd round, but not sure he lasts that long.

    Njoku. Things will be broken...

Mahomes. So many reasons. Texas Tech QB. Massive mechanical flaws. Never under center/read a defense. He has almost zero chance to make it in the NFL as a starter imo.

Any RB, but mostly because we already have Bell. I like Cook and McCaffrey a lot.

Rivers. Maybe in the second? He'd be pretty overdrafted at this spot

    Pretty much any OL

Because Mike Mayock made me do it:

Add Jordan Willis to the list.

I still have respect for Mayock, but I felt he use to be better at what he does. Seems to be trying to sell excitement like so many others.

Mike Mayock said he can play both CB positions , but he does project to be a slot CB. I wouldn't mind the Steelers drafting him, they do need help at slot CB.

My issue with White is that he is a high floor, low ceiling player. He's a solid player. But I want to add a special player to our defense. White would make our defense better but wouldn't make it a championship calibre defense.

All I know is we can't count on Golson and Gay is old, so White would be a upgrade. What player at #30 would be a special player for this defense?

    For the first round:

    Quincy Wilson
    Chidobe Awuzie
    Derek Rivers
    Zach Cunningham
    Tim Williams
    Chris Wormley
    Any QB
    David Njoku
    Any WR
I won't say any OL because if Forrest Lamp fell, I'd be all over it.

Later round guys they've visited with:
    Carroll Phillips
    Marcus Maye

I think Peppers is a special player. I think Obi is a special athlete. I think either guy could help transform our defense into something special.

Unfortunately, I have issues with most of the edge rushers whether it's consistency, production, medical or character flaws. Not a guy I'm completely sold on at #30.

As I said White would be a solid nickel corner but I would rather a guy like Budda Baker. He can play FS or nickel corner and seems to make alot more impact in games than White.

I don't want Jabril Peppers. It seems to me he struggles in pass protection, and as a safety, I'm not sure that is what we need.

I have a small list of players I do not want in the 1st round.

Takk McKinley - I just don't see what a lot of you guys do. I watched 3 games and most of the time when he made a play he came untouched, when he locks up with the oline he was a non factor. I see Jarvis Jones when I watch him...jmo.

David Njoku - If we don't get OJ in the 1st than I don't want Njoku, this class is to talented to take him here at 30.

Derek Rivers - I have been a Rivers supporter but not in the 1st round, if we take him in the 2nd fine but I really don't like when players rise this much.

Any QB other than Watson, if Watson falls to #30 and we don't trade out of it then I say take him. He is a very good talent and let's face it he is heads and shoulders above the rest of the class, imo.
