At least he saved the taxpayers a bunch of money. Now they don't have to pay his upkeep for decades. I hope his victims families have some kind of closure now.

I try not to trample on the soul of a dead person, but I have zero remorse or pity for Hernandez. He had all the opportunity in the world and made terrible choices. He was just a bad person.

What an absolute waste of a life. Dude could have had the world at his fingertips and instead chooses to be an idiot.

To quote Walter Brennan's character in Bad Day At Black Rock: "We'd like to help but we're too consumed with apathy".

Goodell will probably order the flag to half staff at league HQ and will probably force every team to wear AH initials on their helmet this season. Also I'm assuming he has ordered a full investigation in to the whereabouts of James Harrison as well.

It would be a shame if something bad happened to his lawyer, too. I'll show myself out.

Lawyers are buried 20ft below the ground because deep down they're really good people. Remember?

After tasting the good life, there was no way he could handle being in a cage for the rest of his life.

Plus he was making enemies, there was at least one report of him fighting. He's a big guy but there is always someone bigger. Could have been having a rough time in there.

Wonder what was going through his mind when NE won another SB. Could have been with them instead of rotting in prison. Thats a bitter pill to swallow.

There was an article written about dying while a prior conviction is in appeal. Something about the conviction being nullified. Probably thought it was a way for him to give money to his daughter.

Just speculation if you ask me, but a possibility. Probably never know if she does get anything.

Like Ray said, trying to care...

    Can't.

I did imagine White Goodman at the end of Dodgeball after reading Hernandez ate 20 honey buns.

Yeah I seriously have literally zero sympathy for that guy. I mean none. I was still really surprised to hear that he had a true boyfriend. That just shows how crazy prison must be able to get. Makes you wonder if he didn't ever try and hit on Brady. LOL!
