City of Pittsburgh needs to keep both Martavis Bryant and Jung Ho Kang locked up in the Cone of Silence between games and seasons.

Our offense is way too inconsistent. Big blow hards when they need to step
up in games they do not. We really need some one who understands the redzone
to consult with the PGH Steelers. They always talk about 30 pts/game. We never get
close to that figure when it counts. A whopping 6 field goals against KC???????
C'mon now better to build the defense to stop Brady, than to think we will
outscore them. Even though we had a much better roster than NE, we got BLOWN OUT
Thanks MT, I will be glad when your gone. Take Haley with you.

Martavis Bryant is the wildcard for the '17 season. If he can produce like he did in the 2nd half of '14 and most of '15 and Bell, Ben and/or Brown don't get injured... the Steelers may do some damage on offense by scoring 30 points or more a game, instead of Bell and AB racking up plenty of fantasy points while the offense only scores around 20 points like they did in '16.

Even my negative ass thinks the Steelers goal of 30 points a game is not out of reach.

I'm not Ben bashing but a lot of the 30 point target is a function of good Ben vs bad Ben.

I guess Rog has finally found some time within his busy schedule of fining players for ridiculous things to finally meet with him. Regardless of how the meeting goes I predict that somehow James Harrison will wind up getting fined for it.

One thing to think about... How many times does Ben change the play in the red zone???

    Two thoughts:

First, as Ben stated after the one of the last games, in the red zone there isn't much you can change. If you have 5 receivers you can't call a power rush.

Second, good Ben, bad Ben showed up as the season went on.

    A cut and paste:

Something happened to the Pittsburgh Steelers red zone offense around their 10th game of the NFL season. Over their first nine games of the season, the Steelers scored touchdowns on a league-best 78.3% of red zone drives; since that turning point, they’ve ranked an average 16th with touchdowns on just 58.3% of drives.

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger opened up the year completing 65.6% of his passes over the first nine weeks with an 11:0 touchdown-to-interception ratio. His red zone passer rating of 112.1 ranked 6th of all quarterbacks with 10+ red zone attempts as he spread the ball to WR Antonio Brown (6 receptions, 3 touchdowns) and TE Jesse James (5 receptions, 3 touchdowns).

Since Pittsburgh’s 10th game, Roethlisberger has completed just 34.4% of his red zone passes, with a 2:3 touchdown-to-interception ratio. His passer rating of 25.0 is the worst of any quarterback in the entire league, and this includes a pair of games against the Cleveland Browns.

Roethlisberger has become so unreliable that the Steelers don’t even want their quarterback handling the football by the end zone, instead favoring hand offs to RB Le’Veon Bell(understandably).

So, I read that Bryant did not meet with Goodell. Rather that he met with the management committee, and that they want him to provide an anti-relapse plan before being reinstated. So it seems that we will need to enter the draft not knowing. All I can say is FU Rog! :butcher:

Sadly... this is his league now.

Article 41 and the 31 teams that signed on to it made such current actions acceptable. It is not fair for the team that said no to suffer but if the individual is responsible for his actions then he must atone for it.

Within the same context, the commissioner himself needs to hear his employees face to face as opposed to kicking the can down the road with projects that were kicked such to a point that they now need attention (i.e. shortening commercial breaks, figuring out how to properly broadcast "Thursday Night Football", etc.).

I think it's likely he will be reinstated. Just hope he can keep sober and play at a high level.

That is the hope for certain.

All we can do now is believe he has changed for the better.

Thats serious bs but they were likely going to take a receiver anyway.

Still wrong that Rodger is dragging his feet taking his sweet ass time.

I'm going to look at it another way.. The more hoops MB has to jump through, the more his resolve to not relapse may strengthen. He will most definitely not want to go through that process again. I'm as anxious as anyone to finally get an answer on his reinstatement, but in the long run it may be for his own good and the team's.

I agree, I think they are going to draft a WR anyway.

On the flip side is it worthwhile or the Steelers to not have an answer so close to he draft.... just trade him and be done with it.
