Man... you have to be pretty terrible to be cut 3 games after getting a 6.5 million signing bonus. Although, Jeff Fisher isn't exactly someone who gets kudos for his judgement.

I can't say much about his NFL career so far... he's just not someone I've paid attention to.

I can say, that coming out of Clemson who was quite the athlete and a sure tackler. The knock at the time was that he had poor technique. He had the athletics for zone, but not the technique. The fact that he's developed into a quality special teams player isn't surprising given his speed and tackle ability.

Low risk signing. Limited remaining upside though.

Awesome, I was afraid the bench would get cold after Gilbert got cut.

He'll compete for the nickel job, he's strictly a slot guy.

So much for the Steelers making an impact in free agency. As usual, they are doing nothing but hunt for bargains.

I just hope he can play and they use him, we don't need anymore Boykin and Gilbert type situations.

The fact that he's basically an under the radar nobody bodes well for him... Presuming he makes the roster. Not a bad signing... Hopefully he turns some heads

We signed him, and didn't trade for him. Not really the same thing. I don't think the expectations for Coty will be as high as they were for Boykin and Gilbert.

But yeah, it would be nice if he was actually good enough to contribute haha

Hopefully he does well. The Rams team he played for was a mess. Even Jeff Fisher didn't seem to know what was going on.

St. Louis was a disaster last year. Wasn't the Gm there the one who signed Fisher to an extension and then the owner fired him and Fisher?

Good article, 4.4 is a big upgrade in our D. Like someone else said it sounds like this could be the end of Gay. Gay has been good since coming back for Pitt West but his speed and age has caught up to him. This is a very nice under the radar move that most people will brush off but hopefully make MT and KC look real good.

It will be interesting to see how many spots they allocate to DBs and who are the key special teams guys.

In an ideal world, Coty would take the nickel job from Gay... but we'd keep Gay as the #4 who has experience at every corner spot. But usually, your #4 needs to be a key special teams contributor. Knowing that Gay is too old for special teams... camp will need to prove that other DBs can hold those jobs (Coty, backup safeties, etc).

I dont see anything special about Sensabaugh going all the way back to his college days at clemson, and based on his stats there i'm surprised he didn't go undrafted....
