Thought there should be a thread for any Pro Day attendance news...

The big 3 were at Auburn presumably to gawk at OLB Carl Lawson. Colbert, Tomlin and Porter.

Mark Bruener was at Colorado's pro day. Some very good DBs coming out of the Republic of Boulder.

Colbert got some BBQ while visiting the Alabama players.

Well, I think the comparison is great until you actually watch the 2 guys play football. They look nothing alike when actually playing. I actually think Jordan Willis is far more reminiscent of Owamagbe than Lawson is - good run defender, stiff pass rusher. The medicals are a concern for Lawson, but otherwise he's avery good edge guy.

If you are referring to Lawson I agree I don't like him either....supposedly Tomlin was flapping his gums telling Lawson....all you have to worry about is rushing the passer.......since when? Our OLBs drop as much if not more than half the time.....To me Lawson was able to bully some teams because he already has a mans body but when he went up against the Alabamas etc....he didn't shine.....IMO he isn't worth the 30...

To me, Kyle Emanuel is a much better comparison for Jordan Willis.

As for who gets the pick via 30... please let it be T.J. Watt... please..

Or McKinley... although his impact in 2017 may be limited due to the shoulder surgery, especially early in the year. To be clear, I'm really looking at Lawson as a later option if we don't address the edge in the 1st round. IMO his arm length and injury history have a chance to push him to the latter part of Day 2, and in the 3rd he could be a good value pick. I think he can be a good 3-4 OLB, certainly a lot better than Jarvis getting after the passer vs. offensive linemen. After more film watching I may consider him worthy of our late 2nd, but not sure yet.

Has Colbert and company shown up for a pro day for someone they don't view as a first rounder? Honest question. I can't remember right now KC and MT together for a guy they like in the second or third.

WR Coach Richard Mann visited Purdue's Pro Day.

Albany State and Idaho were on today's agenda.

The big 3 once again attend an OLB pro day. This time its at Wisconsin to see TJ Watt and Vince Biegel. Tomlin and Colbert also went out to dinner with the pair the night before.

Tomlin and Colbert at Clemson pro day. A lot of choices to view there. No position coach attended that I have heard.

Very telling indeed. Who is to say he could not be in play round one for he will not make it to round two for us?

I understand this does not mean much, but back when the 2015 NFL Mocks were coming out, I had Bud Dupree slotted from January all the way until April to us. It happened.

This time, I have now slotted Obi Melifonwu into that position but should TJ Watt be there at 30, pull the trigger then.
