That's good but then I saw...

I'm done. We are never going to a Super Bowl again. We will tune in no matter what especially to watch our big brothers. If we could just turn off our TVs for this one game, we could have really stuck it to Goodell and the NFL.

Everyone in the Burgh wanted to see the Pat's lose. Isn't it obvious?

We all know whom big Ben was rooting for?

I am sure he was glued to his tv with his signed brady jersey on.

Stick it to Goodell and the NFL why? What will that accomplish? You think that will help us beat the Pats in the future? You're a sore loser man. The Pats beat us, get over it. Jesus you're a ****ing whiner.

With each and every post you are making yourself into the biggest hypocrite. Obviously you watched the game but in the same breath raise a stink about doing so.

How many people live in the Pittsburgh area? 300,000? 400,000? And that relatively small number of people turning off their tvs is going to make a difference to the NFL?

I'm convinced that he really doesn't know what's going on between his ears. Created a thread to boycott the SB but is throwing a hissy fit about how it played out while giving specific play by play comments. Then he has the bright idea to throw politics into it as well.

    I've never seen it before
It's easy for you to say that ,your team is one of the usual suspects for chasing sb trophies every yr ....try being a fan of a team whose names are not ,steelers ,patriots, broncos, cowboys ....

Dude go read the Falcons board, they are devasted....they know they won't get back there anytime soon.

The reason football is losing viewers is because nobody has a chance ....people just lose interest .

No. The Steelers had a chance and they blew it. The Falcons had an even better chance and they choked.

Every yr in the afc it comes down to only 3 real good teams, pats, steelers , insert a name here....

Alot of times nfc teams are just there just to lose to either ,brady, manning, or the Steelers ...look what happend to the great CAR team and Cam Newton last yr, they got beat by Manning in a wheelchair ....

I honestly believe the vast majority of people that watch the Super Bowl aren't actual "football fans" but are just people tuning in for the "spectacle" with no vested interest in either team when it comes right down to it. My wife's cousin literally put on fb last night that he didn't even know who Tom Brady was until he watched last night but was convinced after last night that he "was actually a pretty good quarterback". My wife got home and said "well there's another bandwagon patriot fan around here now". LOL! My father in law actually played fantasy football some years ago and just happened to be over here one night when the pats were on MNF and they showed Brady warming up and he said "Is he good?" and I said "Yeah. That's Tom Brady" and he said "Oh. He's the guy on my fantasy team". Seriously.

I was actually referring to why the ratings were down for the whole NFL season...but I agree, sb will be viewed by millions who never ever follow football on weekly basis...

In other sports every yr every 32 teams can win it all...in football that's very rare..

I actually think baseball is much more slanted than the NFL. If baseball had a salary cap it would be much more competitive and this is coming from a guy who is a huge fan of a team that went 108 years between World Series victories. I actually think there are more "fantasy" fans than there are genuine NFL fans. I draw a distinction.
