So long, Steeler Nation.

I've mentioned before that for the past 4 months I've been living in the Hospice at Fort Meade VA hospital in Sturgis S.D. [E Ward, room 113 is Steeler Country around here].

I'm dying from end stage cardio vascular disease. I won't be around for next season, so I just watched my last Steeler game.

I've been a Steeler fan for exactly 50 years. For 6 months out of every year I have enjoyed the Steelers, even when life was handing me lemons.

I've traveled and lived in different parts of the country, and people would often ask me where i was from, and when I said "The Pittsburgh area", they almost always replied "Steeler fan, eh".
That always made me smile.

And it's great when you are in some city or state wearing your Steeler shirt, and Steeler Nation always gives you a shout out.

I guess I'm done here, and won't be back to this forum.
