With Harrison's 2nd stint with the Steelers and this seasons rebirth do you think he's done enough to get into the HOF?

Sadly probably not but dang I wish he would. All time sack leader, difference maker, ageless wonder, leader, Defensive Player of the Year, Pro Bowler, and 2 time Champ. GREAT resume but the Committee are a bunch of prudes. IF he does I think he will have to wait. I know I'd love to see it happen though!

I think so. Especially if he finishes with three rings. Defensive player of the year, sack leader, etc. But I'm admittedly biased. Here's what I really think he has going for him:

I hear the people that vote always saying, "in his era was he the best at his position?"...easy yes

Or they say, "can you write the history of the NFL without mentioning him"...the pick-6 in the Super Bowl ensures his spot in league history. That highlight will be shown forever

I think he will get his third ring this year so I vote yes on the HOF.

There should be a 3rd choice: Yes but, only after Greenwood makes it

This. A 3rd ring will get him in for sure. In the second one, he has probably the most epic play in SB history.

Good analysis. I voted no originally, but after reading this I have to agree with you

I think a 3rd ring has a chance to do it if he adds a huge performance in the SB. Coming back next year and having a great year would also help.

No. It's a popularity pole to some extent. He isn't exactly MR popularity.

Other than maybe QB's, rings ain't not got nothing to do with it. If we win the Super Bowl, our long snapper will have 3 rings (I think).

I think if they change the holding rule to reflect his impact on the game then maybe he has a solid chance but as much as I love the guy they will look at stats and never go beyond that.

If he gets that third ring, his chances boost even further to obtain immortality.

Now, a third ring and the Super Bowl MVP? Highly unlikely the latter but should it happen, that puts him in.

Otherwise my vote would be 50/50 with him. Heck, Charles Haley took so long to get in and he had five rings.

I think another 100 yard INT TD return in the Super Bowl will do the trick. ;)

The Senior committee should be ashamed of themselves for not putting LC in there ..
    This year.
If the steelers win the Superbowl this year ..I then, know Harrison is a lock, but his resume is already HOF caliber

The thing with Harrison is, aside from the stats, is it's a great story. NFL Films couldn't make it up. Once he retires and the dust settles, that will boost him in the popularity stakes.

Harrison Is one of the best linebackers I have ever seen but I do not think he became a starter till he was like 26 and the last 5 years , although he has been clutch he has only averaged like 4 sacks a year so I doubt he will get in.

He might go down in the Heath Miller file which means we will forever revere him as one of the all time greats that may never truly get the credit he deserves. Not bad company to be in though. I mean when you're a Steelers legend you're definitely never forgotten. Tomorrow in NE there will probably be jerseys all over the stadium spanning from the 60's until now and 40 years from now there will still be number 92 jerseys all over every stadium we play in.

    I don't believe he does.

I would say he deserves to go into the Hall and hope he does at some point.

Honestly, being biased here but had he been a full time starter, and they actually called holding vs him, he would be the all time sack leader.

If he wins his third, they should definitely consider it as he sparked our defense as a 38 year old ageless wonder.

Totally agree. I have never seen a player get held as much as harrison and should have been starter earlier. Remember in 2004 when we were 15-1 and we rested everybody against the Bills in last week. The bills were the hottest team in football and harrison single handedly wrecked them?

With the amount of money he donated to the league, he should have a Gold jacket on a hanger marked paid.

I voted yes, but then again, I'm a Steelers homer and I think they all should be.

Seriously though, I think James has done enough to earn it, but those who decide may overlook it.

I hate to say it, but probably not. Barring a super bowl MVP or another DPOY I just don't think voters put him in. There's already too many Steelers in the hall for some voters.
