We finally have a chance to beat these assholes in the AFCCG in their backyard. Payback is within our grasp. I've never wanted to beat a team so bad as this one, and I've been watching the Steelers for 39 years.

    LETS GO STEELERS!!!!

No, we don't have a chance. As I've said before on this forum, this year is 'The Brady Revenge Tour'. He is going to win the Superbowl, win MVP, get up on the podium as the first man to ever win 5 rings, punch Goodell in the face for suspending him, announce his retirement and walk off the stage.

In all seriousness though, I honestly do not expect us to win this week. Brady v our defence (although it has been improving, I will say that) is like lambs to the slaughter. I am going to set my expectations low, and then just hope to be pleasantly surprised

I feel your passion man, I am hoping the Steelers play lights out. I hate the Pats worse than the Ravens.
I am like Silverback & Peazy. The Pats stole 2 championships from us. GO STEELERS.

If the Steelers can apply pressure to Brady and make him uncomfortable, they can absolutely win this game. The Steelers are healthy and have a team very capable of winning this Sunday

Everyone uses our field goal phenomenon as a base to measure us on.

What they fail to realize is:

    1. on the road vs a healthy 12-4 team
    2. fat andy's record after a bye
    3. 2 dropped td passes in the endzone
    4. we dominated that game. got like 389 yards compared to 227 yards. Had our defense been breaking the game plan would've changed.

    5. last time I checked new england played crappy qb's all year, not saying they are a bad team, they are not.

    6. We have the best O line left in the playoffs. Hell, they been the best O line since our 9 GAME WINNING STREAK.

    7. we have the best running back.

8.Our defense has been the best in the league since the winning streak. last time i checked, running the ball and playing defense=success in the playoffs.

    I was a bedwetter, now I am a believer.

I have a funny feeling we are going to beat the Patriots soundly. I don't have a lot to back that up, it is just a gut feeling. Usually, I analyze and come to an educated guess but this time it boils down to just a premonition. There are some reasons I believe contribute but they have already been stated. You can come back, quote me, and question my intelligence if we lose (sorry you will have to stand in line). However, I will not eat crow...brings back too many bad childhood memories!

I'm reminded a little of the '05 playoffs.

Prospective tough Wild Card game against a team performing against expectations - check.

Tough game that we dominate but let the opponent back into, before it's settled in a somewhat bizarre fashion - check.

AFCCG against a team who were dominant in the regular season... well, in '05 the game against Denver was probably the most straightforward of the lot.

I think this is more a case of wishful thinking, though...

I had a Cheats fan friend of mine say to me man you guys have a hard road to the Super Bowl...... in which I replied if we make it then nobody can *****. This is the year we have a chance to show everyone how good we can be. Yeah the Fish were nothing but @ KC and now @ the Cheats, that is something. There has been a lot of hype on this team over the years from the media, we are a very powerful team and maybe just maybe this will be the year we show it.

This weekend the Steelers have a chance to show the whole world what us fans already know.....we are a good football team. I hope the Steelers come out and punch them in the mouth and leave with a chance to get #7. I would think that would shut up these cocky Cheats fans. Here we go Steelers Here we go!!!!!!!!

And I feel your passion. Agree pats stole 2 championships from us. I sat through the last one at 0 degree temperatures at Hienz field. I swear they knew every play the Steelers were going to do. At the time I just thought it was a bad game by us. But after you heard the players saying the same things and how they were calling the plays out before the ball was snapped. I really, truly believe there was cheating going on.

I also hate the Pats worse than the Ravens. Hope this game is pay back time...Me for over 50 years for the good and bad.

With Gronk, I'd be concerned. Since he's not there, I'm extremely confident the Steelers are winning. Pats looked like crap vs Houston and Denver. Focus on Blount/Lewis and Edelman and keep them in the 20's, Steelers win!

Well thats no fun. This is actually the best I've felt about a patriots matchup. Usually I think automatic L but this team feels like it has something special going on. Ever since Brown extended that ball over the end zone I've felt like this is a team of destiny. The revenge tour is for the steelers. Beat the patriots and then beat the Pack. Then Tomlin will never be criticized again (until he loses to a sub 500 team) and Big Ben cements himself as a 1st ballot HOF'er.

That's the problem. The Pats look like crap and still win by 16 points. Not too many teams can do that. When the Steelers look like crap, they get blown out.

If I'm being honest, if I could see someone punch Googell in the face on live TV, I'd be willing to forego an opportunity at the SB this year. We'll get another chance at it next year, but never again will we get to see Goodell punched in the face

Brady would be the first QB to win 5 rings, but not the first man. Charles Haley has 5.

I'm with you, for well over 45 years, but I still hate the Raiders more than any other single team. But TBH I hate all teams except the Steelers. I've been preaching #7 happening this year since the season started, now it's time to seal the deal. Time for the number 1 team in pro football to show why they are the number 1 team.
