Filed for reinstatement today so we should know soon if we have them back next year.

Don't see how they can keep him out if he passes his pee test. Wasn't overly fond of his SI interview, but if he can stay clean and help the team, welcome back.

He won't be reinstated any time soon, and we might not hear anything about it for a while.

We will not hear of it until early August at the earliest.

Would like to have him back and hope he stays out of trouble.

He's not eligiable until March but maybe this gives him time to have any required sit down prior to then rather than waiting?

Regardless of when he is reinstated I would not hold my breath on his return being permanent. The SI interview didn't make it sound like a man who has kicked an addiction and is humble and looking to make amends but rather an addict still under the power of his addiction and rationalizing his behavior. I hope I'm reading more into his statement than is there but personal experience with alcoholics his statements sounded just like their justifications.

That's how most of the announcers pronounce it anyway!

I hope the idiot is eating his heart out! When we win number 7 without him maybe he'll realize what an irresponsible goofball he's been.

I wouldn't care if they traded him but they'd probably only get an order of nachos at this point. Anyone who basically says most of my tattoos are meaningless but I get at least one a week about how I'm feeling that day seems to have brain damage to me. No offense to people that have tattoo's but covering yourself from the top of your forehead to your pinky toe when they're meaningless just seems irresponsible.

I'm sure one day he'll be dead broke and wondering why he spent $550K on ink. JMHO.

Actually I'm curious if he would get a ring for that.

Especially for a guy who just lost a whole season of salary, not the smartest investment.

I'd rather have him blow his money on ink than weed and I'd rather have him playing for us than not. I'm all for second chances and for letting him play out his contract. I didn't like some of the things he said either, but I think a small light has clicked on and he stays clean for the immediate future. After another year of playing who knows but I am very, very interested to see how he plays next year.

If he keeps up with the training, like he states he has been doing, man.....dude may just end up killing it next year.

It's like I said in the other post - he sounds like a head case. He's young, maybe he can get himself sorted out. But it doesn't sound like he's in too much of a hurry.

Sometime talent is not enough, lets cut our losses and move on.

He's cheap, and they have his rights for 2 more years. If he gets another 1 year suspension then maybe they should cut their losses.

I have a question...IF (knock on wood) we won the Superbowl this year would Bryant get a ring? I would think not since he technically is not in the league?

If Bryant messes up again, think the Steelers will cut him?

If the Rooney's want him to have one I think he would be able to get it. I've read that the league pays for 150 rings and anything over that the team their self has to pay for. I'm not sure if I think they should give him one or not.

That would be a lower life form than a Participation Trophy. Again, don't think it would curry favor with 92.
