That is a myth. Smith was asked if he thought they would win and responded with confidence in his team. The reporter spun the story of a Smith promising victory and Brady fell for it and went after him. Bottom line it's the AFCCG and if that isn't motivation enough then they are welcome to get miffed over this.

I'll say in here what I said in there: I don't care that Tomlin called the Patriots assholes. As far as I know, every team says far worse things about the next team on their schedule. I think it's more telling that they're acting like they just won the Super Bowl when in reality they didn't play that great of a game (and it wasn't the Super Bowl). The Patriots played badly themselves this weekend and the players (and media) are acting like they just lost despite winning by 18.

 

Yup, also the big TD against the Ravens in week 16 which was basically a playoff game.

 

I don't know how anyone could see AB's video as anything but dismissive of Tomlin. And Tomlin must respond with a benching. Period.

But if AB starts, as fans here are suggesting, then you know why players act like they do. No consequences. And you'll just see more of this down the line.

Agreed. Something has to be done to reign him in though. Recording in the locker room is not okay, ever. That doesn't even happen at much lower levels. Brown needs to be told to smarten up. Tomlin didn't say anything bad, but recording your coach talk and then uploading it is not okay at all

Did anyone see the video of Peezy getting it to it with a Chiefs player after the game? I don't know what was going on but they were getting between them and then Tomlin came over to try and break it up and the video went off at that point.

Honestly I think AB is so in to his own self on those social media sites that it didn't even dawn on him that Tomlin was saying anything that might cause a stir. Although I'm sure the pats aren't losing any sleep over this. I'd say the only tape they care about is the tape we've been putting up all year and they'll definitely be studying that one. I really do think Tomlin might harbor some actual animosity toward NE though just because he seemed to let a little contempt show during the whole headset thing when he was like "I said what I said!"

I do not see anything in this video that is over the top. This is purely locker room talk from a coach who is fired up about winning a game to go to the AFCCG. Unfortunately, this will be a story because it gives the talking heads something to yap about. Of course, I am little aggravated that AB decided live stream this for all to see.

But, let's be honest here... The Patriots are arseholes... they are just the winning type. Regardless of this video or not, it is going to take a monumental effort from this team to make it to the Superbowl. The offense will have to sustain long drives and score touchdowns.

The lockerroom is private you don't post what's said in there after a game on social media, what AB did is beyond stupid. The team needs to drop a big fine on him, he's also disrespecting his coach.
