hahaha he keeps retweeting people calling for him to replace Porter. Maybe there is some interest there after all.

Maybe next year. They wouldn't add a coach in the middle of the playoffs. He left coaching to go help his son try to get a college scholarship for football. I have big respect for that.

He sure did a good job with Green Bay's LBs when they beat us in SB45. Clay Matthews was a stud that year. Still like Porter as a coach though, the LBs have done well this year.

I like Porter also but I don't think they keep him. I initially bought they would but this is a pretty big black eye. If you have a guy that's a proven coach then you go with him. I think Porter will finish the year but I don't know if he will be back next year.

Well lets hope they get Porter a ring before he's gone.

    That would nice.

He did assist with Dupree's development and we should be thankful for his contributions should the Steelers ascend into the "Stairway Of Seven."

It would be a great story, but probably more of a distraction than the Porter incident.

They already put him on leave. He won't be at the KC game. Maybe the rest of the playoffs.

I like that in his Tweet he stated, "My Steelers." Once a Steeler, always a Steeler. :towel:

I would love to see him join the team in a coaching capacity.

I'm all for bringing him in to replace Porter, but not until next year. Bringing him in now would be nothing but a distraction, and I think it would actually undermine his credibility with the players.

Yes, the Steelers make this happen and one ...instant upgrade in coaching...and two...they have to continue to set the standard and next man up... Lol... Porter, brought this on yourself. If he was one of the players, he will be gone, so the same standard for coaches

Well, first he was wasted causing trouble. At a Southside bar after a major win. Having to be in the office in the morning to break down film preparing for KC. He is a coach. Was Butler out getting wasted? Olsavsky? Any of the other coaches out getting wasted and causing trouble? No. Porter has a reputation, a hot head if you will. Now I am not one to say a bit of celebration was not in order but common. This incident probably will cost him his job.

Maybe not heinous, but totally stupid none the less...

Thanks for the memories, Joey. You were a great player with us and your contributions are appreciated. But the fact is that no one individual is bigger than this historic franchise and our focus right now is on winning our 7th Lombardi trophy! I'm sorry that your focus appears to be on something else. If you need help for alcohol addiction, we'll be here to provide that for you and will support you in any way we can. But the fact is you've become a distraction that we don't need. Our focus is on Kansas City, the next obstacle on our way to the Super Bowl! We have to watch out for the collective good of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and any individual who jeopardizes that is in jeopardy himself of being cut off from the rest of the group.

P.S. How could you be so STUPID!!!
