I already felt that We were looking like a team that wouldn't be denied, but this just reinforces it. The desire that this team has shown to go from being left for dead at 4-5 to 11-5 is undeniable to any but the most caustic doubter. I love his quote about AB wanting it more. When games are on the line, this team just wants it more, and I think that will continue.

There are folks complaining about how we blew the chance to get a 1st round bye with some of the early season losses. Setting aside any debate on whether we "blew" anything, I'm not sure whether this team would be this focused and tested by adversity without the 4-5 start. I think that the 4-5 start may have actually sharpened this team's resolve, and made it less likely to be overconfident and stumble in the postseason. I feel supremely confident about tomorrow, and even if we come out slow and trail 10-0, I'll feel confident that we'll prevail after 60 minutes of football. This team isn't going to panic when adversity sets in. They've seen it on a grander scale than just 1 game.

    :herewego!:

I'm going to disagree on this to some degree.

Having a positive player like Cam around, who isn't playing because of injury, is one thing. He will constantly bring a positive thought to the locker room.

Having a suspended player around, who deliberately let the team down, would bring a year of negative thoughts to the locker room. Every day he walked in, he would remind everyone of what he did. This would not help him or the team.

Now, if individual players want to reach out to him on a personal level, that would be excellent.

I think fans and players often aren't on the same page. Who says they feel that way? Certainly not the impression DWIll gave. Theses are his friends who care about him. I'm sure they are disappointed in him but I don't think they are angry with him. And I think its much more punishment for him to be there, seeing his teammates bust their ass, winning and losing games while he is helpless to assist them. I would think that would drive him to want to do better.

But even if you're right, I agree with your last sentiment, that at the very least, they should be allowed to have contact away from the facility.

Im so frickin old I remember watching his dad play at Pitt. Great article though and love the whole Pittsburgh connection thing with him. It gives me the warm and fuzzies and I'm definitely a sucker for the feel good stories. Now if the Steelers could only get the Hull kid from Miami but I think he's caught a lot of attention there.

Great article. Not only is he a great player, but he does so much for Pittsburgh's community. Class act guy. Number 7 here we come!

    " He’s a master motivator "

Only three players left from Cowher's teams. One of them happens to be Ben. The Browns have probably had 12-15 QBs in that length of time.

The importance of a franchise quarterback cannot be overstated!

    in case you are serious
this is how it is done
teams need time to think if someone pulls an Eli and says I won't play for you
calling when we are on the clock would be bad clock management

Just always assume that I'm never serious. It saves time.
