Agree but also looking at the big picture. Maybe he will be limited this week.

Maybe he practiced then had recurring symptoms. Personally I dont think he will be needed til the pats game. Assuming the steelers make it there.

looks like he will be out from what I see so far. Nothing new, his brain is mush :(

Grimble is hurting as well. Doesn't bode well, but never does during this part of the season lol.

    next man up

Looks like he'll be out if he was experiencing symptoms after Thursday practice... sucks, because with Miami down both starting safeties, the seams were begging to be attacked in this game.

Jesse James is coming along. Fans don't give the guy his due enough. He won't ever be Heath Miller, but the guy is a decent ball player.

Jesse James is coming along (improved blocking was very evident in the Baltimore game). You are correct he won't ever be Heath athletically. And you are correct to imply that he will be able to contribute as the starting TE.

However, schematically... we will not be able to do things with James, that we were able to do with Green (exploiting the seams by running verticals and posts that attack the safeties). That's just not in James athletic wheelhouse.

The Dolphins are a decent team. They won 10 games and have a really good running back. I've watched teams stack the box and Ajayi still gets 60-80yds and a TD. Plus Moore isn't a scrub. The last thing we need to do is overlook them. We'll get beat if we do that. I agree we should beat them but it's not in the win column till we beat them.

Hopefully Eli will have success in the middle. Both of their starting safeties are out.

Just throwing this out there...and I know I'll probably sound like PWP, but I wonder if you could put DHB into the spot Green would play when they want to attack that middle. I'm not suggesting him as a full time TE but just a handful of routes and he probably blocks better than Green if the play is changed at the LOS.

IMO DHB could be the x factor to #7. Line him up at WR, RB, TE, QB, Safety, and sometimes center.

PWP you better like my comment lol

I think that's a decent idea. He already knows how to block as a receiver. He's big enough and can make big plays. James is decent but more of a blocker than pass catcher. They won't do it though but good thought.

Yeah probably not but if they were thinking of doing something similar ,Hamilton would be a better option....more size and better hands. It seems to me though that Rogers is running similar plays in the slot with Green out....

I'll be much more surprised if he plays then if he doesn't. 2 weeks to get over his concussion and still not ready.....it's cause for concern imo

Not a bad ideal ,but I think the best way to exploit it is in the 3 by 1 set....Let DHB play wide and stack AB behind him let the other side WR run quick outs to clear LB'S and force a CB or Safety to play the outside short if in zone ....

Run DHB on the arrow route split the 2 Safeties, this will give AB and Eli lots of space to work in the middle....The next part of that attack is PA zone passes where you pass it to Bell after the fake behind those clear outs...

This is how you beat that 2 deep zone ...Stretch it long and Stretch it wide ..

Take it easy PWP....the game is still a few days away....you're getting a little too excited. Either that or your giving Lizard72 some " baby making " advice :hehehe:
