Keanu Neal who went to Atlanta was one of my guys.

Colbert desperately needed to hit in the secondary and he got 2.

Hargraves was my favorite pick, gonna be a beast.

    Nice job :applaud:

Love the 2015 draft class as well. I feel good about where Dupree is headed. I think Coates was on his way to being a dynamic #2/3 kind of receiver before he hurt his fingers. I am certain the Golson will be a good player if he can get over the bad luck of his first 2 seasons.

I do not follow college football enough to analyse any of the picks but I will wonder for years to come whether Tomlin and Colbert baited the Bengals into drafting William Jackson III right before we took Artie Burns. Its a shame that Jackson got injured in Training camp cause I was really looking forward to a rookie year comparison.

A lot of guys on there I liked going into the draft and some I did not. (Keanu Neal, Leonard Floyd and Maliek Collins).

Two years in a row, some guys with troubled pasts have done well their rookie years (Marcus Peters and Noah Spence). Shows how hard it is to judge those character issues.

Good to see all our rookies get some attention, they played well this season.

It's all fine and dandy to look back at their rookie year contributions, let's see how many are here their 5th year. Look at Woodley vs Timmons. Woodley started off better, and was paid (to the detriment of the team) but Timmons has had the better career.

After going through a very quick rebuild of an aging and capped out championship roster (the two 8-8 seasons) Tomlin/Colbert have built another contending roster.

    Great job.

They built one of the best olines, run game, and WR core in football, and have a solid young defense headed in the right direction.

    Haters were wrong. Again.

golson i have my doubts about. two years out of football and nearly all practice does not bode well for him. i hope we are not done adding pieces of the secondary. the work isn't done yet. OLB, safety, corner and depth will still be needed as we grow all around the defense. the biggy will be bens replacement down the line on offense. fingers crossed there.

Greg Lloyd missed his first two seasons with knee injuries. Golson is not Lloyd, but it has been done.

I don't recall anyone ever doubting the overall level of talent on the roster. Or heavily criticizing the drafting.

We suck haven't won a superbowl every season or a playoff game in 6 seasons that wasn't gifted. We will be one and done because jerry jones sucks as a gm and tom coughlin can't coach.

I don't recall many people making a big deal out of our draft picks being poor. I think you're listening to too much local sports radio. I've never once criticized the drafts. The only mistake that really sticks out for me is J. Jones. It happens. I think we've consistently drafted better then most teams since the 70's. I thought Shazier would be a super star and so far he's been good, but not elite. I thought it was a mistake to ignore corner as long as we did. But these are the challenges that come with every draft.

Some mistakes were clearly made the last 5 years on defensive picks which is why we've struggled to rebuild our defense. Seems like this year's draft has helped dramatically. I think our defense is 1 or 2 players away from being great. Which is why I hope our first pick is an OLB. 2nd pick FS. Use FA to bring in a starting NT. Use our 3rd pick on a corner. Offensively if we keep our own and we'll have more talent that most teams. My only concern on the offensive side of the ball would be a back up QB to compete with Mettenberger. I suppose depth at OT would be good also.

If you are all fishing for Tomlin bashers, I think you are clearly haven't been listening. The #1 criticism I have heard is the fact that our team has under achieved given the talent we have. That talent has come from damn good draft picks. This team has been too good to not win playoff games. I agree with that 100%. Don't know how you can argue otherwise but you will. Bradshaw is getting all this flack because he chose the wrong words. I think TB struggles with the use of the English language. I'm guessing that TB believes Tomlin is an average coach with a lot of talent. Losing games you should win with elite talent at key positions is not the behavior of a great or even good coach.

This was what I was getting at. OP is just instigating with this (could have left the last part out), speaking of being trollish.

You better not be missing on the 1's and 2's or you won't be employed long.

Those 6 round Gem's are the ones that really have clout.

Really? How long have you been here? If I weren't Getting ready for work and pecking away on an iPad, I'd do a search and reply with plenty of thread links about how bad our drafting is.

    Really?
I remember quite a bit of people saying Tomlin/Colbert didn't know how to draft.
    Actually it was quite excessive.

There were quite a few people beating the drum about how bad Colbert/Tomlin were at drafting. Others tried to tell them to calm down. That they were putting together a contender.
He's just pointing out that they were wrong.
