With Brown, Bryant, Ayers, DHB, Rogers, and Coates at receiver for next year maybe we can dangle him out there to see what we can get. Even if he stays he's not going to get much playing time and he's not a special teamer.

I would like to run for PA town council and pass a resolution renaming Tomlin's community as "My Fears, PA". His head would explode. LOL!

I think Coates should get some slack because he makes his living with his hands, he is young and should have a long career.

You can't ask a guy with broken fingers to risk his career if you are only paying him 725K a year to start. And Hamilton only get 450k, Ayers and Rogers each make 500k. Wheaton gets 700k
When Bryant comes back he is only gonna be getting 600k.

DHB gets 1.266 M. So DHB should have been starting SE. Where is he?
DHB had a habit of making a few big plays in Oakland, then disappearing.
    Kind of like Duce Staley.

We have the best receiving corp in the league, and the most underpaid.

Bell made 1 million this year.

AB made 8m, but we pay "Pouncey" more, 8.8m, and DeCastro 10m, Cam Heyward 10m, Timmons 9m. Mitchell 5m, Green 5m.

None of those guys are going to win a game for you, or made a great 3rd down or 4th down catch. And you think a guy with broken fingers should risk his career for 725k???

Steeler salary structure is out of whack.

if Bryant is only making 600k and he's got to pay taxes and his agent that's not leaving much for his weed habit

All of our young WRs have so much potential. No ceiling. Period.

Coates play has nothing to do with "risking his career".

AB was a late rounder who took a huge offer with only 1 year of production on the field. You can't compare his contract to that of 1st rounders who get 4 years to put in tape.

We know what we have in Brown and DHB. Wheaton will go be great somewhere else. The others are all young. None have truly exceeded expectations nor lived up to expectations. All have potential. I don't see how Ayers jumps over Hamilton. If the coaches thought he was better, he would've been playing longer than the last two weeks. I'm hoping Coates' hamstring is good to go and he is able to have a monster game. The more they spread it around, the more Brown will be able to take over.

Too early to start the "Trade Bryant" thread?

Wheaton will be out as soon as season ends, and we all agree with that, right?

I think he will be gone for sure. Nothing against him personally but I just don't think he really ever established any kind of chemistry with Ben.

I agree that he will be out. It is disappointing, though. I remember reading an article on Bleacher Report last year about how they thought he was taking the steps that AB took going into his third year. Frustrating.

Why in the name of God would the Steelers trade Bryant? He has legit, game-breaking talent.. Did you all forget what he did last season and playoffs last year? Especially against Denver, the Super Bowl winning #1 D, without even Brown on the field to take pressure off? Keep in mind, that was his rookie year, after being inactive for the first 5 games... From a guy who was supposed to be a raw, project player. He completely takes the top off defenses and gives Brown and everyone else more freedom from defenses.

His contract is incredibly cheap, so there's practically no risk for the Steelers in keeping him. If the Steelers have reason to believe he will never get his life together, then I suppose they could try trading him. Teams are going to scale back their offers based on the risk of his career completely flaming out. Again though, this is only if they know for sure he hasn't changed and is a suspension waiting to happen.

I agree, I don't think we trade Bryant.
FYI last year was his second year and he was suspended for the first four games.

They can stash Hamilton and Ayers on the practice squad next season.
