While Bell's total yds/game is an impressive stat, and Brown's receptions too, a key to our success relies, IMHO, in two key stats as a team:

    1) Offense.
    Sacks allowed:
21 or 1.2 per game. (2nd in the league behind Oakland -19-).
Notes: Thats 45 less than the most sacked team (yes, the Browns with 66) while 22 teams allowed 30 or more sacks (2/game).
    This same stat 2015: 33, 2014: 33, 2013: 43.

    2) Defense: Red zone TDs allowed: 45.6% (4th in the league).
Notes: 26 teams allowed a TD more than 50% of the time, and 15 more than 55%.
    Same stat 2015: 49.1%, 2014: 54.7%., 2013: 56.3%.

Haven't dug deep into the stats, but if you know there is a single most impressive stat on O or D about this team, I'm interested about it...

So if they hadn't given up 4 to Cleveland, they would have been 1st. If the O-line can neutralize Miami's D-line, the Steelers should be in good shape.

The sacks allowed stat is nice considering this line is supposedly more of a run blocking line. Says a lot about our young tackles.

That is an impressive stat. Far cry from when Ben was getting sacked 45+ times per season. This OL has really become special.

Elite o line. Should be up there with Dallas talks. They use 8 man power running sets, we started to and what do you know bell goes crazy

I was just talking about that the other day. It so great that the conversation (although it took awhile) has gone from Ben being the most sacked QB to how things are now.

Their sacks allowed would have been much better, but they didn't seem to want to block to well for Landry Jones on Sunday, that and Landry has to get better moving around in the pocket, you put a finger on him and he goes down.

7 straight wins with their backs against the wall. Great job Tomlin.

What about TDs allowed outside of the red zone? Like to tight ends?

In comparison to Ben, everyone will look like their getting knocked over too quickly.

But you're right, LJ needs better footwork in the pocket.

Both of these are awesome stats... no doubt that they contributed heavily to our division winning season. If we want to win it all both will have to continue.

If we keep Ben upright and force the opposition to field goals instead of TD's in the red zone, I'll take our chances against anyone in the NFL.

I may have missed it and perhaps they have been using nix all along . I saw a big improvement in Bells runs when utilizing Nix as a FB

Best stat of all, RPO, 7 straight wins to run the table. Awesome. Anyone else wonder why everyone in the media can't shut up about Green Bay running the table but never mentions the Steelers doing the same?

It also says a lot about having gotten rid of BA and gaining Haley/Munchak.

Eh we are power ranked third after pats and Dallas. I don't like the attention. After we were ranked #1 we lost bad to Philly
