To help put the 2016 Steelers in Super Bowl LI?

Joe Greene to help the d-line?
Rod Woodson - the shutdown corner?
    Troy Polamalu?
Kevin Greene to rush the QB?
Swann, Stallworth, or Ward to compliment AB?

I am going Joe Greene to help shut down the opposing teams running games.

I'd take Jack Lambert in his prime with the rules they were back then in a heart beat. Joe Greene is my second choice. Hines Ward 3rd. Kevin Greene 4th. Joey Porter 5th.

All due love and respect to Lambert, he would be far down on this list.

This is a tough call, but I would probably go with Greene as well. By the modern rules, I'd probably take Woodson over Blount. After those guys, I'd go with John Stallworth, then Hines Ward.

Are we talking about who is the player you would want to build around or the player you would like to add to the current team?

Rod Woodson. Our secondary has potential, but it's still young and needs some more development. Plus Woodson can also return kicks. His time with the Ravens still irks me though lol.

All are great, probably Joe Greene right now, but also Polamalu was unique.
    Missed Lambert on the list.

Certainly any of these guys would be an improvement and in my opinion the defense needs the most improving.

For each player of old, you take a current player off the field. Given the DL is now a rag-tag bunch of backups due to injury, I say give me Mean Joe Green.

Joe Greene but Polamalu is someone I'd want on this team. Jumping over the O-line sacking the QB. Miss those days but our D is playing well right now! Plus Polamalu could help both CB's instead of just shutting one receiver down. We've had some greats and still do!

Joey Porter over Polamalu? Porter was good but not Polamalu good. Joe Greene? I guess it's a preference I know I have mine!

If we are adding to the current team, I would definitely put Greene first, then Woodson. After that, I would go with Stallworth, then Ward.

One reason I would put Lambert very low on the priority list is that inside linebacker is a strength of this team, not a weakness.

If we're adding to the current team I want Joe Greene as my top addition followed by Greg LLoyd, just to bring back some nastiness and attitude

Big Snack. Whole defense collapsed when he was winding down and then retired. Co-inki-dink?
