Here's a little sampling and I must admit, I'm pretty impressed.

Tomlin has done a nice job of keeping the team together after the 4 game losing streak. I can see why players enjoy playing for him. I'll have more criticism in the future I'm sure, but I've come around to believing he's the right coach for this team right now. I've looked around the rest of the league and there's honestly not very many, maybe one or two, head coaches out there that I'd rather have at this point. He's got to "button it up" a little more against inferior opponents so as not to cost his team playoff position or have to rely on other teams to get us in, but other than that he's developing a pretty good legacy. NOW TO CEMENT HIS LEGACY WITH ANOTHER SUPER BOWL WIN!!!

    :herewego!:

I've never really had complaints about Tomlin except maybe the time-out issues. Too bad there isn't someone to ask him the "check" with regards to clock management.

That's a great article Jack and its a shame that it takes something like Bradshaw speaking out to bring some of it to life. I know there shouldn't be a need to have access to every aspect of the team but as a fan base we want some kind of information and this helps fill those gaps. I mean we all have heard the stories that Lynch told about his first meeting with Tomlin as a position coach and how he told him he was great and how Tomlin could show him how to be better. We remember the story about Tomlin putting together the tape of interception returns and the lack of team blocking on them the week before the Superbowl hence the convoy for Harrison on his interception return. But beyond that there was very little else to go on. We assumed much but had little else. Now we know more.

I think Tomlin is a good coach. Is he a great coach? I wouldn't say that at this point. Still makes some mistakes that great coaches don't make. He has the respect of his players and the front office and the team is pretty competitive each and every year. If not for injuries the last 2 years I think we get to a Superbowl and possibly win it. The window to another Super Bowl for the Steelers has been here for 3 years now and might only last another 2 more so let's see what Tomlin and the team can do!

I have been a guy that speaks out time from time about Tomlin. I scratch my head on some of the decisions he makes and when he should make them. With that said we as fans are so spoiled, we have great owners, players and coaches. We expect nothing less then perfection and when it isn't perfect we complain. It's all good that is part of being a fan and what a message board is all about. The bottom line is Tomlin took over a good team not a bad team so unlike other coaches he didn't have to rebuild. The talent on this team is second to none and imo capable of winning it all every year. Injuries and suspensions have played a very big role in this and really may have robbed us of 1-2 more rings. With that said I am not going to name other coaches who I would rather have cause to be honest with you I think our ownership and front office have a lot to do with our success as well.

MT does a good job and is a good coach and I hope the hell he leads us to #7........

Yeah I was also thinking that I strongly disagree that Carroll is a great coach. Imagine if Tomlin made that goal line Super Bowl call. Hack imagine if he made it in the preseason against Cleveland when up by 30!!!

Tomlin has now been the coach 10 seasons. He has not had a below .500 record in any season. Has won a superbowl, and been to two. If not for Mendenhall fumbling he might have won 2 super bowls.

He has posted a 12 win seasons 3 times. 11 win season once (could be a second if we beat the browns Sunday) 10 win seasons 2 times (3 times if we lose to the browns Sunday) one 9 win season and two 8 win seasons.

His teams have made the playoffs in 7 out of 10 seasons.

Tomlin has to get better in the playoffs. One playoff win out of the last 3 trips, isn't impressive.

But, there is nothing wrong with Tomlin. 30 other NFL teams would take him in a minute.

Winning in the NFL is hard stuff. The two teams that played in the Super Bowl last year, didn't even make the playoffs this year.

Also a team that won 3 or 4 games last year, is arguably the best team in the NFC and a popular pick to go to the dance this year.

You can go from good to bad, and bad to good, very fast in the NFL.

So, if you think Tomlin making the playoffs at 70% percent chance of the teams he has coached, it's pretty good.

I have been here and there as far as my opinion on Tomlin. Whenever I hear him speak he reminds me of some jibblefarb rappers write that just make up nonsensical lyrics to rhyme. Not that he actually concocts rhymes, but in the sense he just says things that sound good but have no real meaning or connection to reality. Even so, the players like him, the press and league like him, and most fans like him. So, I guess I have to like him! Winning a few games into the playoffs, and maybe appearing in the SB next year will go a long way in swinging the needle on the satisfaction meter. I guess we need something to complain about!

I don't put much stock in what guys like Cowherd and Whitlock have to say about Tomlin, they haven't been around the team to know what's going on they're just looking for a hot take.
