That's two weeks in a row Big Ben has brought the team from behind in the fourth quarter to win the game.
Guess we can put that one to rest.

He's got to stop throwing the stupid picks and digging the hole that he has to crawl out of.

Having said that, he did deliver in the 4th quarter with the game on the line.

And when will you learn that nothing will ever be "put to rest" on this board, lol? We only remember the most recent performance! :lolol:

I am in agreement with jack. You place yourself in those position and hopefully you will have an opportunity to redeem yourself. This was a big game and bad Ben played for 3 qtrs and then flipped the switch to the Ben who we all know and love. Great win...but, consistency will put you in the category of the greats

I agree but really both looked like bad routes. it seems to be a backup when he is throwing them. not saying they aren't on him but I wonder about the guys he is throwing to.

Leading 7-6 and throwing two picks in a quarter is hardly anything to put to rest, however not giving up and bring this team back is why Ben is so valuable.

As for bad routes maybe on the 1st pick but the 2nd pick was all Ben, he never saw CJ and he just threw it out there.

I have said this before there is only one QB in the NFL now that I would take over Ben and the Rodgers. Ben fits this team and he fits this system, he is a stand up guy and he treats the online like most QB's treat their star WR. Ben is a roller coaster you take the ups and downs, I will admit after the 2nd int I was thinking we were done. Nope Ben put that in the past and led us back........

One INT was horrific... the other was a great athletic play by Ravens LB. In order to beat Patriots... Ben can't make those mistakes. Brady will not be as forgiving as Flacco.

I think this has something to do with some on Ben's discombobulation. I recall one play during the 4th quarter comeback when they broke the huddle and both James and Eli looked confused, and Ben had to direct them to the right side of the formation when it looked like they were headed to the left.

With 2 weeks until our playoff game, I'm sure there will be some reinforcement of the playbook for the young guys.

That said, To me both ints looked like they were on Ben. On the first, there was a window to get the ball to DJ and the ball got away. On the second, I think it was just a bad decision forcing the ball into coverage.

This is what we're going to get with Ben. He can make the kinds of mistakes that rookies make, and make things tough. BUT, he is also a guy who makes plays that nobody else on the planet can make, and that's what makes him a franchise QB. He's not going to change overnight into a low risk dink and dunker. He's always going to take risks, and there will be some head scratchers to go along with the ad-libbed plays that all football fans marvel at. I will take the bad with the great, even if I end up abusing Tums for 3 quarters.

It's a 60 minute game. Did the interceptions suck? Absolutely. However when the game is on the line Ben was 11–14 with 2 TDs and 2 of those incompletions were spikes to stop the clock, that's clutch!

I will agree with you on the second. i was remembering a play in the 1st quarter where the ravens defender dropped it when it looked like grimble went the wrong way. for some reason in my head i was counting that one. my bad

Sorry, but I will rain on the parade. If Ben hadn't played like :poopy: for 3 quarters, he wouldn't have had to bring us back

Pop Quiz Hotshot: Who has the most game winning drives since 2004 in the whole NFL?

    Answer: Ben Roethlisberger.

Ben is credited with 39 and Eli is credited with 38. Even Brady only has like 34 or something. Who da thunk it?

The two int`s I saw on replay, IMO the first was just a mechanical error, the second mental. However, he may have just not seen the defender coming on the second one.

He redeemed himself, but I`m wondering if he is just beginning the downside of his career. I hope not. He seemed flat, dispassionate until we were losing by two scores and he had to air it out. Was he pouting about how little we threw in the 1st half? Did he have a fight with his wife? Is he just tired of playing?

I hate to say I would like to see him a little more like Brady, fired up and demanding and energetic, but I guess that is not the way he is. I hope he plays great in the playoffs.

Man I'm glad Ben doesn't read these. boards.
Idk what the hell some of you want.
Qbs are going to throw INTs
They are going to have incompletions. It's just part of the game.

Hell if you all don't like ints join the ravens. flacco didn't have many yesterday. See how that works out for u all.

I get it that lots of you all may not even be steeler fans much less Ben fans but y'all must have short memories about what we have at qb when Ben is not playing.

Favre threw a lot of INTs. So did Elway and Fouts! HOFers all!

Roethlisberger is off now... but he has already HOF caliber. No matter what happens. He is blessed with Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell.

Ben has been one of the most consistent QBs in the last 10 years. Just look at the stats year in and year out. This talk about him being inconsistent and a roller coaster just aren't based in reality.

Ben's 2 int's were on the coaching staff. I mean come on, HOF QB had 9 pass attempts in the first half, I repeat 9 pass attempts. The coaching staff continues to stop Ben from being Ben. Ben in the 4th moving left to right playing sandlot is the real Ben the coaching staff doesn't want us to see which is a disgrace.... People on this board doesn't comprehend that

I wanted to see Ben throw it downfield in the first half, I don't know how the coaches were responsible. Players have to execute.

Ben is definitely a momentum player. He has his ups and downs. But he has way more ups than he has downs.

Honestly I was watching the game at the in-laws family and after the Ravens scored the go ahead TD my 11 and 12 year old sons were sitting there saying that's it, it's over no playoffs for us. At that moment I was thinking that the loss would in my opinion be squarely on Ben and the offense. But instead of saying that to my sons I said to them that I've watched Ben several times over the years, when they were to young to remember, lead the Steelers to epic comebacks and it's special to witness. So don't be surprised if they do that here. And sure as **** that's what he did and we were going nuts. Even non-Steeler fans where we were watching it were jumping up and down. I'm so glad my kids were able to experience what I believe will go down as one of the best game winning drives in Steeler history.

I though we went way to too conservative after our first drive. We made it a lot closer then it should been. Seemed like we didn't learn much from the first game with the. You have to spread them out and pass all day against them. We waited again until we got behind and had to play catch up.

Even Ben called out of a pass when it looked like Brown was single covered and he handed of to Bell up the middle for no gain. The 2nd and 3rd quarter play calls were too lousy and conservative hence we lost the lead and had to play catch up with no huddle and had to pass our way to a win along with great play by AB. Wish we would keep the hammer down when we get a lead, as our defense is good but not great enough to keep teams down for 2 or 3 quarters.

Brady is rarely down - doesn't need to comeback. For a shorter career Wilson has a lot of comebacks too

He hasn't been too clutch this season. I don't think last game counts either considering he gave them 10-14 points(I forget exact #) Hopefully the rest does him good and we get early in the season Ben back. We are going to need it.
