You do know that people here discussing ways to make the team better has absolutely no effect on the team right? I'm not saying don't discuss stuff, but don't be under any illusion that as fans we have any impact in that area.

Just curious, do you actually think people here believe they can change the team by posting on a message board? I've never come to that conclusion reading peoples' posts. Others and myself have probably said things like "the Steelers need to run the ball 20+ times to win the game" or similar comments, but that's just discussing their opinions or elaborating on "what if" scenarios. Same thing as talking to a co-worker and saying "I bet I could shave 15 minutes off my commute if I take 72nd instead of 84th". Then the coworker says, 76th is your best bet. etc.

Maybe you are taking some comments too literal?? Like some of the "why aren't the steelers listening to me" type comments that are usually in jest.


And by the way, my co-worker said Google is making their maps using mapquests' directions. But I told him Rand McNally was the best of all of them.

 

I don't mean to bring negativity here but I still see this as an average coaching staff with an elite roster. I'm still not a fan of Tomlin but hes done good up to this point. I can't not give him his due. A deep playoff run and I might be swayed other wise

I don't mind going to a game that has no bearing on the standings and not getting to watch him play due to a maintenance day/week in prep for the playoffs!

I would like to think that nobody's under any kind of impression that their opinions on a message board could influence a team.
When you say "we need to discuss ways to improve the team so hopefully we can win" suggests that these discussions have some kind of an impact on the outcome of a game?
Trust me I know they don't and it's probably just a wrong way of him wording his point, but that's how it reads.
