We should have the AFC North sown up by now. The egg laying we did early in the season has made the game with the Rats tomorrow way more important than it needed to be. It's hard to believe that we're on a 5 game winning streak and playing some great football but if we lose the game tomorrow we're probably out of the playoffs IF we don't get help from other teams. I'm tired of having to rely on other teams to allow us to back into post season play. Let's go out there a kick some RATTURD buttocks tomorrow and go sailing into the playoffs without help from anybody else!!!

As for Tomlin, he's a good, not great, coach as I said above. I believe he's at the crossroads right this minute. If we beat the Rats, who have owned us lately, and make a deep playoff run or win the Super Bowl we can begin using Tomlin and great in the same discussion. If he loses and gets out-coached by Hairball once again then his legacy will be that he's an under-performer who coached his teams to mediocrity and had a tendency to lose to inferior opponents.

Tomlin is not as good as Cowher to this point. Cowher had many more playoff wins. Just going by stats and fact. For the record... I voted for Obama and Hillary.

I wasn't coming to your defense. I only find santeesteels post slightly more annoying than yours. That's saying a lot

And Noll was a better coach than Cowher, the comparisons between the HC is dumb.

Yeah when people act like "Oh you're not a pro so your opinion doesn't matter" I'm like "well then what are ANY of us doing here"? Lol! Then you get the people that are like "you must not even WATCH football because your opinion is so dumb". Some people need a dictionary for Christmas so they can learn what words like "opinions" mean.

Bradshaw is full of :poopy:, the only cheerleader HC in the NFL is Pete Carroll. The only opinion that matters is the Rooney's.

Maybe we can trade DHB and get a high draft pick.

Rebuild a title contender is talent + coaching.

    The talent is there.

No, I did not contradict myself. The topic of the thread has to do with Tomlin's coaching ability.

Half the teams passed on him in the 3rd when he was drafted. He hasn't lived up to a 3rd round pick. Exactly who do you think was going to give us a 3rd before this season?

I made my case a couple of pages earlier. Used the numbers and the context for those numbers to do so. If you want to ignore them and insult me in the process, without bringing anything substantive to the table, then that's your business.

I think you make an excellent point here and I think you're right.
I think alot of people here could have a legitimate debate on whether Tomlin is a really good coach or a great coach. And most of that would come down to peoples definition of Great or good. Problem with these other hard heads is they don't even think Tomlin is a good coach. Most of them think he's terrible. Can't even have a legit discussion with them because they are so blinded by their hatred of Tomlin.
It's pathetic and it's really only a small percentage of the people who post here, but they sure are good at posting the same tired ass nonsense over and over.

Ok. We all have our opinions about Tomlin, but am I the only one who thinks Bradshaw looks "drunker than a mofo" (watch the video) ? But I actually agree with Whitlock on this

Let me start by saying I like Mike Tomlin. I have been a Pittsburgh Steelers fan as long as I can remember, and the two coaches I’ve primarily lived through have been tremendous. Both great in their own ways, but I realize there is a natural rift in the Steelers global fan base with those who long for Bill Cowher, and those who accept and enjoy Mike Tomlin.

Whichever camp you reside, let it be known I realize Tomlin has his issues...

Let's remember that Bradshaw wasn't much a fan of Chaz Noll either.
What did that do for him?
