So, if you don't have the NFL channel...you're not watching Balt @Pitt?

First deployment sitting in Naples, Italy for Christmas and New Years Day.

Crazy drinking happening with unauthorized stacked beer cans at the USO that they kept taking down just as we got it to a respectable height!

I dont feel bad at all for them . I feel bad for us the real people that have the lower income jobs. They get paid millions to do what they do. What most upsets me is why they have to schedule a game on Christmas. New Years Day I even get but never on Christmas.

I read the NFL is going to experiment with different commercial formats either this week or next. This is in response to declining ratings. They're going to try and shorten the commercial breaks or something.

I can't watch a game really if the steelers aren't in it. the commercials, officiating, and quality of play are hard to stomach. The kick off rules changed so they could squeeze in more commercials and it's been a disaster.

Dumb dumb me thought the game was on Saturday with the other games. Now i see that it's Sunday on the sports net channel here in Ontario. I was freaking out wondering why it wasn't being shown on Sat.

I really, REALLY hope they drop the post-kickoff commercial break.
It totally disrupts my spectating rhythm.
    And I hate it.

Agreed they should take away the commercial break after every punt and kick off.

This is why I record all of the games with my PVR, then watch them later, the 10 million commercials drive me friggin nuts!! and the timeouts, plays under review, other team players injuries, halftime, the list goes on to the WHO CARES play the damn game already!!! I turn a 3 hr game into an hr and half game, it leaves me more time to watch other garbage.

Need help here fans. My cable doesnt offer the NFL Network or the local Pittsburgh channel the game will be shown on. Can someone smarter than me explain how I can stream the game live using a smart TV. I cant believe this is the first game since I can remember that I cant get on my TV.

If you have Verizon, you can watch it for free (no data charges) on the NFL network ap. However......you can't mirror an actual game to your tv. I spent 2 hours on Thursday trying to figure out a workaround for that. There are some options for an iPhone, but none (other than a jailbreak) that I could find for Androids.

My wife and I will probably find a sports bar that is open and camp out there. It sucks watching on my phone......lol

Probably a dumb question, but ...

If the NFL is streaming it, might it be available via their app on Roku (and similar devices)?

Up until about 2-3 years ago, NFL Network wasn't an option with our cable provider. People kept petitioning for it and we finally got it.

What about using Google Chromecast to get it from your phone to TV? Seems I've used that when I wasn't at home with my sunday ticket before.
A $30 Firestick will do the trick. You'll have to jailbreak that of course.

No one likes commercials but if they don't have commercials after punts and kickoffs half their ad money would be gone.
