How do we beat these Raisins? Just need to beat them and we can probably take the last game to rest starters.

    For starters

    Ben @ home has 17 tds, 3 picks and a 119 rating.
Flaccid @ away has 5 tds 7 picks 75 rating.

BUT, when was the last time we blew out these turds? oh yeah 2014.

we wont be able to run on them, for whatever reason they always stuff our run game. I dont care what philly did. Ben has been lights out at home, that must continue or our season is done.

I will enjoy my time until then however, just wanted to start a thread to build up da hype.

I look at the positives to being healthy. Ben was coming off his 1st start with the hurt knee the last time. Bell is running hard and strong. Our defense is much improved since the last meeting, actually forcing turnovers and sacks.

This one is at home. Steelers are on a 5 game win streak, and finding ways to win. They aren't blowing people out, but winning isn't always about being pretty.

Leave no doubt, this one will be about as close to playoff game as you get.

The key matchup is Flacco, Wallace and Smith vs. Steelers secondary. Whoever wins that battle, wins the game.

If the Steelers offense can put up at least 20 points.. should be a win.

I just Hope we don't call stupid plays against the Ravens. Mainly like keep trying to run Bell into a brick wall. I think the best game plan would be like we did in Buffalo, spread them out and start out with short passing to open up running lanes later.

We need Green to get out of concussion protocol as we will need all receivers. I believe we need to out score them not out defense them. Can't do the same things over and over against them.

The eagles ran on em for 169 yards yesterday, and for some stupid reason after they scored their last TD all they needed was the extra point to tie the game at 27, instead they went for two and lost...

They need to blast Christmas music all during warm ups and pregame to let them think that we are all one friendly, jolly, thoughtful and happy group of players and franchises. Then on the first snap. Cheap shot Suggs, hit Flacco late and take out Hairball on the sidelines. Take the 15 yard penalty with the accompanying warnings then play disciplined the rest of the game while they go into full melt down mode ala the Bungles.

Don't care what the Eagles ran on the Rasins, Bell with his hesitation style of running is not good against the front of the Rasins, we need to spread them out, then our better players could be used more effectively. If we win it will be with passes to Ely, tight ends, and Bell. They should also sit Coates again and play Cobi more.

And it looks like green has another concussion just when we really need him, that guy is super concussion prone after all his concussed problems his brain is fragile.........

Couldn't agree more with Coates. He just doesn't fight for the ball at all. He will start though cause of his ST's play.

The Eagles game has scarred me for life. About as bad as the AFC Championship game vs. Chargers in January of '95.

Ben has to stop throwing into super tight coverage. Bengals should have had 2-3 picks yesterday.

To me, the key is Jimmy Smith. IIRC, he was out the last time the Steelers beat the Ravens in 2014, and Ben just roasted their secondary. If he doesn't play, then that's a matchup to exploit. I don't see the Ravens keeping up in a shootout, and the D played well enough against them last time (remember 8 points came from a kick block),

I was there too! Only Steelers game I've ever attended. It was horrific walking out of 3 Rivers that day.

To this day... the '94 Chargers were probably the worst Super Bowl team ever. Junior Seau was the only truly great player from that team.

I dont understand why we arent scoring more. Awesome O line, best all around RB, 2nd best WR, top 3 qb, and green/james/hamilton/rogers as a #2. no sense

Defense. Run the ball (setup play action). Special teams.

Defense: Steelers defensive front 7 needs to keep Flacco scared for his life. The secondary is proving capable so I won't elaborate. They just need to do more of what they did in the second half against the Bengals, yesterday.

Run the ball: When the Ravens stack the box - which they are going to do - Jesse James, Sammie Coates and Eli Rogers need to be ready to catch it. Ben needs to hit the receivers IN STRIDE when they have created distance from the DB. I have not problem with Ben being aggressive and going down field. Keep that secondary honest. When the box isn't stacked, the O-Line needs to create a push and open the hole. Bell will do the rest. Throw Nix in there a bit to mix it up with I-Formation like they did against Buffalo. Force the ball down the Ravens throats.

Special Teams: Boswell is money. Coverage team needs to actually cover an tackle on punts/kick-offs so the opposing team doesn't flip the field. This is all this unit needs to do: Maintain field position.

    This will produce winnage.

Sometimes Ben and the receivers are not in rhythm. That happened quite a bit yesterday.

The run game isn't always going to look like it did in Buffalo, but even what they did yesterday was impressive. The Bengals run D isn't good, though. I think they are ranked about 26th in the league. Perhaps the O-Line was struggling, yesterday.

Bottom line: The offense isn't buttoned up. But they find a way to win. The passing game has been pedestrian (in terms of scoring) for the last two home games. However, against Buffalo, the ground game came up big. Against Cincinnati, a balanced, but mediocre offensive performance was bolstered by Boswell's stellar performance.

This is actually what makes the Steelers so dangerous in terms of scoring. They are multifaceted in their ability to score. They can kill in many different ways.

Think of it like this: How many teams can post 24 points even though they only scored one touchdown?

Agree... Rankings don't mean duff a lot of the time... An inspired team can wreak havoc as was the case with Cincinnati for a bit yesterday. A lot of variables kept em on cloud 9 as well.

Thank goodness they imploded when our guys unscrewed themselves.
