"USA Today's Tom Pelissero reports teams were informed on Tuesday that the salary cap is expected to rise to between $166-170 million in 2017. The salary cap this season is $155.27 million, so it's roughly a $10-15 million increase. The cap has been steadily rising for years with the league just rolling in the money. With more cap space, contracts will keep getting bigger."

it's possible the NFL is peaking or has peaked. with the concussion issues, the domestic violence publicity, overexposure from too many talking heads, etc, we may see a decline.

I just wish they would start offering a live streaming package for your favorite team. I would definitely buy it (provided it wasn't as expensive as the DirectTv deal). Hopefully the recent experiments with streaming this season will help show them the potential.

would be great if our cable and internet providers would give us service as good as other countries
break up this monopoly they have and keep them from milking us with halfass service

I remember when you could choose where you wanted your locals to come from..Direct got mad at all the Sunday ticket money they lost and started a big fight with the local providers so they wouldn't or couldn't offer their service outside their own market ..

I had Dish and lived in N.C. and got my locals from Pitt ,I watched all the Steelers games for years for 4.99 a month...I wished the locals could win that freedom back...

Hopefully this allows us to get Brown and Bell locked up long term.

Plus add in the relief from Timmon's contract expiring (15 mil for 2016), and that's some nice cushion to work with. Timmons will re-sign but it will definitely be team friendly.
