I thought Bullock did a real good job for a guy that joined the team the day before the game.
He only had a short time to get used to the holder, the field, and timing.

He made all 3 FG tries, and hit the extra point for 10 points total. The kid done us proud and I'm glad he could pick up a game check around Holiday time.
I'm sure he found a place in the hearts of Steeler fans.

I can see it now. He was helping his honey decorate the christmas tree, the phone rings and he answers it, his agent tells him to drop what he's going and get to the airport for his flight to Pittsburgh because he's kicking for the Steelers in Pittsburgh tomorrow afternoon.
He lands in Da Burg, goes to his hotel room, gets up and goes to the stadium and works with the snapper and holder a few minutes, and he is good to go.
Pittsburgh people love a story like that, especially when he makes all his kicks.

I guess he is going to get his walking papers now, so I just wanted to give us a chance to raise a toast to the kid for helpin out with 10 points. Thanks kid!:drinks:

Fortunately we are experts at picking up FA kickers when we need to. Just look at last year. Oh, never mind.....

He was actually playing golf when he got the call, at least that's what I read. Don't forget he actually was in on a tackle as well. Good days work. If we go on to win the Super Bowl he may get some team MVP votes. ;-)

Great, another kicker making tackles. How could this go wrong?

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. A good days work doesn't amount to a superstar. Especially at that position.

Didn't we pick up Mitch Berger as a punter in similar situations? Think Sepulveda was injured. And Berger couldn't kick it as long, but that meant our coverage could actually keep up with it. We ended up in the Superbowl that year, as I recall.

Yep, we also had Greg Warren get hurt that season, we were playing the Giants and home, James Harrison said he could do it, he ended up snapping the ball out the back of the endzone and over Berger's head. Losing the long snapper basically costed us that game in 2008. But, hey we ended up winning the whole thing that year so I'll take it.

Dar. My 2nd Heart Operation was in December 2008. During my stay was the rats game with Santonio Holmes catch against the rats. During that game the nurse came in and said Mr. B*** you are showing up as dead on my monitors. She then re-attached a few leads and said, don't cheer so hard. She looked at the TV and said Oh Steelers. One of my high school mates plays for them.
    I said What's his name,
    her.. Greg Warren
I said he is hurt I think
Her.. he is a long something
She was proud she knew him but didn't know much about football Ha!
Both my heart opps were in New Bern NC Hospital. Think they call it Carolina East Medical center now. Not sure but do not want # three to find out

Bullock signed today with the Bengals, who cut Nugent.

I hope the little guy used up all his mojo while wearing black-and-gold.

True. Maybe it'll have Boz's on side kick attempt on it.

Exactly. And inside is only an illustration of a guy kicking a ball through the uprights with little dashes showing the path of the ball.
