this is all getting pretty interesting now, especially if Miami ends up losing, which would make a Steelers 10-6 wildcard chance doable.

Denver still has to play New England and Kansas City also Oakland, with Siemian at QB they aren't making the playoffs.

No - the Miami loss is going to make it tough to get a WC. Ravens are in a better spot since they beat Miami. A 3 way tie would get the Steelers in, but Denver may not win another game.

So Steelers have to win out, because any division loss even if the Steelers beat the Ravens would cost the Steelers the tiebreaker with Baltimore.

Giving away games to mediocre teams like Miami and Philly will keep them home if they don't win out.

Dolphins are toast. Tannehill reportedly tore his ACL and they still play at buffalo and against new england. Even if Garrapolo starts I think patriots still beat them.

Pretty much, if Steepers win out, Ratbirds are coming to Pittsburgh in the wildcard round

I think Miami might be able to beat the Bills and Jets even without Tannehill. It also remains to be seen how much the Pats will have to play for in week 17. The Titans/Chiefs game next week is actually really interesting, in terms of its impact on a variety of races.

The wildcard race is a 3-4 team race between the Broncos,Dolphins,Ravens or Steelers and Titans. The Titans have the tiebrakers over Miami and Denver now so keep and eye on them. I don't want the Ravens getting that wildcard spot as the 6 seed. I'll take my chances playing the Broncos, Miami or Tennessee in the playoffs over having to play the Ravens here.

Tannehill got hurt midway through today's game and the Dolphins were still able to beat the Cards, even though the Cardinals had the ball with a chance to win it with a FG (couldn't do it) and then having to stop Miami's backup from a GW FG drive (and couldn't do it).

I think Miami still beats NYJ and Buff regardless, getting them to 10. Steelers lose another game and they can't get any more than 10. I don't see Tennessee or Denver getting to 10.

Steelers screwed a WC chance with some of the horrible losses they've had.

Yeah, Miami is the big fly in the ointment as far as getting a wildcard. I also think they beat NYJ and probably Buff to finish 10-6. Broncos fading badly and have horrific last 3 games, so I think they are toast.

Our one clear path is win out. If the Ratbirds lose to NE, we only need the next two games and the Browns game is a bye. Simple.

There is a chance the Bills beat Miami and we get a back door wildcard, but what a lousy way to stumble into the playoffs. We are not playoff worthy if we get in that way after losing to the Ratbirds twice.

Consider also even though Miami plays NE last game of year, if NE has clinched one seed by then, they might not play the starters.

That lousy game we had against Miami could come back to bite us in the butt.

If we lose to the Ravens again, I'm sorry then we don't deserve to make the playoffs. We play them at home, we have the better team, we are motivated, we should win the game ..no excuses

If all 3 teams go 11-5, Steelers, KC, & Raiders ...is there a chance we can get the #2 seed?? A bye + a home game can go a long way...

I did not even think of that scenario. If that happens, KC is division champs and we got it (KC has tie breaker over Oak).

Is a wildcard in our future?

Our best record and not win the division is 10-6.

Two main teams challenging us for the wildcard is Miami and Denver both at 8-5 now.

Miami has 3 games left... Jets, bills, pats. They own re tiebreaker so they MUST lose 2 of these 3.

    Denver has pats,KC, and raiders
Left. No head to head here so conference record is next and we own that. So any lose puts us up on them.

Miami wins 2 we're out. Miami loses 2 and Denver wins out we miss playoffs. Miami loses 2 and Denver loses 1 we're in, assuming we are 10-6 of course.

Just beat the Bengals and Ravens then use the Browns game as a bye and let that pathetic team win so they don't make our division look bad.

I guess it doesn't matter but 3rd seed would be a pretty easy route to AFC Champ game. Dolphins, Broncos, or Titans/Texans. Then Chiefs who we beat pretty badly but they have got better and so have we or Raiders at home.

Cleveland can more or less throw a party on one win. Within the same token, do not expect Tomlin to rest anyone.
