Green just might be the real deal... but he looks like a serviceable, above average TE to me... not some freak speed-demon 4.2 forty sprinter that he was billed to be back in the offseason. Steelers need somebody besides AB and Bell to step up... since Bryant is the second coming of Josh Gordon, Wheaton is on IR, Heyward-Bey out indefinitely and Coates is playing with one hand.

Glad to see Burns and Davis contributing this early. I didn't expect them to do anything until next year.

Hope Hargrave recovers soon.... D-line depth is gonna be an issue vs. Bills with LeShaun McCoy and Tyrod Taylor. Bills game reeks of another dreaded December egg-lay from the Steelers.

And one drop. And one that people are calling a drop, but was actually broken up by Eli Apple. I guess he just needs to work on getting less open because we all know a 15 yard contested catch is better than a 22yd touchdown or a 30 yard catch and run. Getting wide open is exactly what he is getting paid 20mil for.

I don't think anyone is saying it was a perfect game, but he consistently got open and put together a really nice stat line for us last night. I know you say you're not a hater... and I believe you, but nitpicking a really good game because he was "too open" makes you sound like one. If he continues to put up games like last nights, he will be well worth the money we pay him

I think as the team plays better, it gets harder for fans to complain and they reach :lolol:

Off topic: Looks like the Giants have a great CB in Eli Apple... that dude is the real deal. Good corners are hard to find... hopefully we have that in Burns.

He wasn't on the field because he was injured. Some of you needed to calm down. All you had to do was watch his tape and see what he could bring to the team.

I don't understand people bringing up his contract... You act like you are paying his salary. If he couldn't play or perform, Steelers were going to get their money back. Win/win.

Hoping? You mean already seeing considering what Burns did against Odell Beckham, Victor Cruz and Sterling Shepard.

Holding all three to just 32 on five catches of six attempts thrown to his side is definitely a positive sign of progress. Artie is getting better and better each week.

If that was true why can't we find a #2 WR as easy? We should be able to trot out anyone under those circumstances. All you can do is catch the ones you get thrown....his job is to get open....he did...his job is to catch passes thrown to him...He did He is doing more of that than the drops. The guy is going to be a huge weapon in the years to come.

Cause thats alot of money to sit on the bench. Yes true if he does not play he does not get paid however I am not privy to contract details but how many games must he play to get the full year salary?

I guess I don't see what is so hard to understand here. None of these players are worth the money they are paid, if they are injured they should be shipped off to another team, and they should be able to catch every ball anywhere within a 20 foot radius (including ones they throw to themselves). Don't even get me started on how they should only be thrown to when they are covered!

Once again, what is it to you? You don't have to pay a cent. Steelers handled his situation perfectly. Do you want them to be like the Cheatriots? Who ruined/shortened the career by probably 5 years of arguably one of the best TE's we have ever seen. Because he makes too much money to sit on the bench and get fully healthy?

Really? I will tell you what it is to me. We support the franchise which pays the players. So I guess I pay a "cent"

Oh you mean that bit about Gronk. I am assuming that is who you referring to? So your point is that the Patriots organization brought Gronk back too soon which caused him to be done for the year?

Nobody ever said he was a 4.2 forty guy, he's a 4.5 forty TE who can get down the field which he is starting to do.

See, I see the opposite about calming down.

Looks like some of you need to calm down on telling others to calm down.

Seriously, you're on here arguing that you knew when Green came back he'd be a superstar and be back in the form he was in prior to injury and had no fears about the "concussion" issues he was having.

It's awesome that he's contributing now and looking like he's getting more involved as the season continues. No one here wants him to stink up the joint just to be proven correct.

We're all more than happy he's being productive and defenses should start having to account for him.

The best thing is that Ben is throwing to him. Ben tends to ignore a "check-down" TE, but if he sees Green as being a real Homerun threat it's all gravy.

Sitting here arguing that people that had doubts about when he'd get on the field are not fans or wrong is slightly absurd.

4.2, thats faster than Wallace :lolol:

Green is 4.45 which to put in perspective, Gronk is 4.68. That means we have a weapon too fast for linebackers and too big for DB's, which will translate to the wide open seem catches you saw on Sunday, much like Gronk does.

My only doubts about the guy was the injuries and when he'd get on the field, his talent however, was never in doubt.

I don't get the Ladarius Green criticism. He's shown up big time the last two games and I'm looking forward to having this weapon down the stretch. Holding my breath that he can stay healthy.

People keep stating he does not look like he is running 4.45 speed. I beg to differ.

Here in lies the crux of the issue; even after surgery and treatment, an ankle injury is still not something one can easily overcome. If the injury in nature was tendon or ligament based, then the chances of him recovering will be longer than the intended time table due to the difficulty of tendons and ligaments being more difficult to heal than bone based injuries.

Do not worry though guys. I am sure that, come Sunday against Buffalo, we should see some glimpses of that speed yet again.

Just a perfect comparison. Patriots rode Gronk into the ground and probably shortened his career by 5 years assuming he takes another snap ever again. You think AB sits out the 2nd round of the playoffs for a concussion if on the Patriots? No. Example, Wes Welkers brain is mush right now. Steelers know what they are doing.

People also forget how big he is so that's deceiving. How quick he got down the field and walked into the endzone. Jesse James probably gets tackled at the 10. I'm also wondering if maybe the Steelers tried getting him to bulk up a bit to hopefully help him be able to take some more hits.

I love that we have yet another weapon for Ben. Anything to free up Brown. I kinda miss Jesse "bang bang" James development. Green, is gonna be big for us in this run to the playoffs

I thought that was out of the team's hands. Isn't that determination up to the nfl concussion protocol?

Gronk has had chronic back issues from way back when he was drafted. Doesn't matter the team, his career timeline was linked to that and not whose team he is on.
