Good win but......

11-5 may get us second seed if either Raiders or Patriots go on a losing streak... not likely. It's less likely, IMO, the Steelers will go 11-5. They will lose either to the Bills or the Bengals. It's like night... it's gonna happen.

 

The Eagles and Dolphins games were some of the worst debacles from the Steelers I've seen in the past decade. Total crapfests where the team just flat-out quit. Those games were worse than the opener to the Ravens in 2011... plus the Vikings game in London where Adams did a great impression of a turnstile.

 

Would be nice if the Steelers would learn that Sept-Oct games are as important as Nov-Dec games when it comes to playoff seeding. It's a much easier road to the Super Bowl if the road goes through Heinz Field. It's just very frustrating knowing that, in spite of this nice 3 game stretch, if the season ended today we'd be on the outside looking in and would miss the playoffs. But thankfully the season doesn't end today and we're still "in the hunt" along with all of the other mediocre teams in the AFC. Woo hoo!

 

Yeah but look at the early success of the Vikings and Eagles and where they are at now. you can rattle off 6 straight wins and the struggle for 4 weeks and be outside looking in as well. I don't think you can discount anything at this point .

 

They started the season 4-1 , that was Sept-Oct.

 

True. Hopefully our pattern doesn't hold for the last 4 games.

3-1 first four games
1-3 games five through eight
3-1 games nine through twelve
1-3 games thirteen through sixteen??? TBD

We need to go 4-0 the last four! Let's do this!!!

Weather ended up being a little worse.

 

Three more wins to go and the Steelers win the division and go to the playoffs. I have been forecasting this so long I'm getting tired of talking about it and just want the Steelers to win 3 more to make it 7 wins in a row and start the journey to SB #7. Not near as many doubters as there were three weeks ago. Amazing how that goes.

It's ironic that Marv Levy once said "When it's too tough for them it's just right for us". That was the case today. I was dying to see a game in the snow where we ran the ball down their throats and I got it.
