Just when I was re-discovering where my DTV Sunday Ticket channels were on the dial - now a steady stream of local affiliate broadcasts. I thought the Rams in LA would change this. So far works out to about $125/Sunday Ticket Steeler game this season. I'm happy for all those without the DTV package, but makes less and less sense to keep anymore. It's become more like an insurance policy - "in the event it's needed" than a pay per view premium deal. Probably make up some lost bucks when we face the sorry Browns and Bengals at season's end.

Thinking the same thing. 2 games so far this season on DTV but if I cancel it then they will probably only show 2 nationally televised games next season.

2 weeks in a row no steeler game in arizona because of the asswipe cardinals, and I had sunday ticket for 8 years but had to get rid of direct TV because of their shoddy service plus their rude and discourtious behavior, it was a principal thing and for 5 years they keep trying to get me back but thats not going to happen especially now that the king of thieves AT&T bought them out......

It feels more like a charitable donation. (I hope the IRS sees it that way too! ;))

It still amazes me that Comcast doesn't qualify as a monopoly. But they skirt the lines awfully close. But really, for those in a TW/ATT/Comcast area, where's the competition? I'm in Comcast's area and it's either them or FiOS. But picking between Verizon and Comcast is like picking which fingernail to pull off first.

It's terrible in rural areas. Here in rural Virginia, we only have 2 choices for broadband internet... Verizon DSL or Time Warner Cable. Both are around $80/month, give or take, depending on the package. It's a shame that Comcast, Verizon, Charter, ATT, TWC, etc... don't all compete in the same areas. This would drive prices down for consumers everywhere... but we can't have CEO's getting their bonuses cut.

Yeah it is, watching a game with a bunch of loud drunk idiots isnt my idea of an atmosphere conducive to enjoying a televised game....
