The defense did their job two goal line stands, three sacks and two interceptions. The Steelers did what they are supposed to do to a team with a backup QB win big, yet some of you so called fans still complain

Big win but it's an illusion because the Colts left points on the field with dropped TD passes. Not being able to get off the field on 3rd downs will be our downfall this year. 3rd & 15 or 3rd & 17, an adequate defense gets off the field...

Exactly...If you allow Teams to keep drives alive the D won't keep making GL stands ...A good QB and this game would have went down to the wire ....We still need another starting CB and a ball hawk at FS ....

I hate it how often it seems we give up a 3rd and long or a big play on defense. However, our offense can be great. So how good are we?

Maybe nobody is great this year. The prime Super Bowl contenders we played (Patsies and Cowchips) seemed beatable to me.

We have a chance, but some of our young players have to mature quickly.

Well then, logically our record is an illusion because we've consistently left points on the field all season...

So far it seems people are unhappy because we haven't qualified for the playoffs (which nobody has, barring perhaps Dallas) and we didn't beat a good team (just who we were scheduled to play).

Over the past 2 games the Steelers defense has given up a total of 16 points and have pressured the 3 QBs they faced tremendously. Hopefully it has more to do with starting to perform well and less to do with the competition. They need to keep bringing the heat against Eli next week and build on it.

Our offense is only as good as Ben is each and every week. If he has a bad game then so does everyone else. Right now he's firing on all cylinders so hopefully that continues.

Yes the D did do their job they had 2 nice goaline stands and they came out like a ball of fire, had 2 int's and could have had more. I am super happy about this win and I could care less if it was a back up QB or freakin Joe Montana. Our D has look so much better over the last 3 games, including the Cowpie game. But I feel as big of a game as we had we looked pretty bad at times vs a team with a back up QB on a short week. There were dropped passes for td's and missed wide open guys, if being worried about this makes me not a fan ok so be it.....that's your opinion.

I get where you are coming from we just came off a very big much needed win...I get it. However this is a message board and that's what you do talk about the good and bad. I am worried as heck that Eli effin Manning will pick this D apart and if you don't feel that way fine. It doesn't make you more or less of a fan of me or anyone that wants to talk about the how they see things. I know lots of people here are doom and gloom win or lose, but as much as the scored showed a big win I feel the game was no where close to a big win. JMO.

I agree that accusing pessimistic fans of not being fans is silly. I disagree with the doom and gloom views expressed by many out here, but it doesn't mean they're not fans. Plenty has happened with this team over the past few seasons to fuel both optimism and pessimism.

The Giants are not the Cowboys or Patriots. They've won a bunch of games by the skin of their teeth, and have a tough time putting opponents away. I am not expecting a performance quite like the KC game, but I feel pretty confident that we'll win the game.

We don't NEED to win this game but honestly we kinda do because it will give confidence

I agree 100% I feel this team has a ton of talent on both sides of the ball. I also feel this team could be a SB winning team so when we don't play like it I can see why people get upset. So talking about it here or any other message board doesn't make one more or less of a fan, however some of the doom and gloom I have read makes me wonder why some are a fan........I do get why some people like 6 say these things.

Little stat in games we have won we have scored 188-75. Or 31 ppg and 12.5 allowed. Games we lost 78-147 or 15.6 ppg and 29.4 allowed.

    Haven't missed a play yet.

Tell me which one of my statements were false and I can argue why it's not.

    A) But it was against a back up QB. True

    B) We gotta stop the stupid celebration penalties! True

    C) Some more fine tuning needs to be done. True

    D) Other than that this team can be Championship caliber. TBD

I'd say the Chiefs are contenders, and we beat them. Weeks ago when we lost to the Ravens and Miami everyone was complaining about how we couldn't beat crappy teams, and that we played down to them. Then we beat two crappy teams in a row and everyone is complaining we didn't win well enough. I am beginning to wonder what it will take for some, and I am not putting all of you guys in this, fans are impossible to please. It takes a good defense to stop any NFL team on the goal line for 8 downs. I think we are going to peak at the perfect time. We have a good team. We are just young and maybe needed a little more time than some other teams. Good win. Go Steelers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Umm the Sea Chickens just lost to the BUCS. They are just as suspect to lose as anyone else. I agree with the other teams tho.

The Bucs are a surprising team. So are the Chiefs. I'd rather the Chiefs get a wildcard and play the Steelers (IF the Ravens don't win the North)... than to face a wildcard Raider team. Raiders offense would torch the Steelers D at Heinz or in Oakland.

It would be nice to get one playoff win before the offseason.

So when the Seahawks lose to a mediocre team like the Bucs thats because the Bucs are surprising. But if the Steelers lose to a supposedly mediocre team like Miami its because the Steelers suck and Mike Tomlin is horrible, and should be fired. Same situation except for Miami is actually better than Tampa. I am not saying we shouldn't have won that game, but sometime it really is any given Sunday.
