Well that didn't last long. He failed another test and is suspended 10 games. I'm sure he is going to be cut. I wonder if Vince is going to beat his ass.

Man, that's a real shame. Why can't these guys realize the incredible opportunity they have and not crap it away?

 

Maybe it's a new thing the Steelers are trying, let the practice squad players take illegal drugs, so that the active squad players will be unaffected.

I don't know who makes some of these personnel decisions but they need to find a new line of work.

They have to address the running back position next season. As great of a player that Bell is finding out he has tested positive or skips another test will not be a surprise. I feel the Steelers will franchise him next year with bated breath. Williams can be in the mix if he decides not to retire but another good back is needed. Personally I feel that pot should not be part of the testing process. That's just me. But Bell being arrested for it driving around with an ex teammate named Blunt puts a larger magnifying glass on Bell.

 

I don't disagree, but many so called "experts" say it's harmless and non-addictive.

 

K. Williams is a very talented idiot. We could have really used him for depth.

Somehow we need to find a way to keep bell next year and beyond. He is the key to a successful playoff push.

I hope he's cut, released, waived or whatever. These guys are extremely talented and very fortunate to have such a high paying job. It's for our entertainment and why we pay so much for it and if they can't keep in shape to perform , ( entered camp 25lbs overweight ) and off illegal and/or banned drugs then he has no respect for us, the team, or the opportunity he's been given.

I believe in second chances as everyone has made mistakes but at some point enough is enough , some guys need to hit rock bottom before they realize what they're losing or even if it's important enough to straighten up.
