I thought this game was hands-down the game of the year.

Steelers did a good job of mixing up their looks, weren't predictable, and played hard all day.
They reminded me of the Steelers of the 80's when we weren't winning very much, but we played good, hard-nosed Steeler football.

I saw enough today to make me think we can win out, and beat Dallas in the SB if it comes to that.
Dallas, a very good football team, brought their A-game, and we damn near beat them.

Burns got schemed on and he still had good tight coverage all day, it took great throws to beat him.

The defense got good pressure the whole game, and Dak Prescott was feeling the pressure.

Ezekiel Elliot proved himself to be a great back that is going to remind Dallas fans of Dorsett and Emit Smith.
Great backs are great backs because they do what they do, and Elliot did what he does.
Great backs are game changers, and Elliot is a game changer.

Steeler fans would be able to swallow this game easier if it was Smith or Dorsett doing that to us, and we found out that Elliot is in the same class so far.

Give Elliot the game ball and a tip of the cap. Without Elliot the Steelers win this one by 2 touchdowns.

Dallas gets an "A", and I'm giving the Steelers a "B+".

If we play this hard the rest of the way we can win out. Buffalo being the only question mark.

I'm not sure if this is meant as sarcasm, but unlike some past losses this game was at least entertaining.

I think I just walked into the twilight zone. The "it's over, trade everyone and blow it up" guy is happy now? Do you know something I don't about us bringing back Tajh Boyd?

Well that's one way of looking at it.

    Now prepare to be disappointed.

No way the Steelers will win out. They might even lose to Cleveland next week! But lucky for us I think 8-8 or even 7-9 will win the division. Need to go at least 4-4 in the last 8 games (so far 0-1)

It was entertaining, but we lost and played terrible D in the 4th quarter. So to say game of the year is a stretch. If we would have won maybe, but there's still 7 games left. Definitely entertaining just wish we would of played some D. If we don't play D in the next 7 games we won't get to the playoffs let alone the SB.

I was thrilled to see the defense mix it up and show some unpredictable stuff - like Shazier coming off the right edge and getting a sack - he reminded me of Mike Merriweather. Too bad they didn't keep him there. The D line got good pressure all day, and Daks numbers were something like 12 of 23 at one point.
At one point the D was showing 2 down men in the A gaps when the boys broke the huddle, but by the time the ball was snapped the D had 8 men in the box.

On Offense they were just as tricky, Ben made good throws, and receivers got open. The problem is that the run game got snuffed, and I was hoping to see a 2 back set, but then i remembered we don't have a FB, do we?
A two back set would have done wonders today.

We got beat by a TRULY GREAT RUNNING BACK today. I don't know how durable he is, but he looks like HOF quality.

We DID play good D in the 4th, we got beat by a HOF caliber back today, and Witten made a big catch on 3rd and long on a perfectly thrown ball with Shazier wearing him like a cheap suit.

Great RB's and great throws are gonna beat you sometime.

Without Elliott, the cowboys lose that game 30-10.

In his defense, he did qualify it with "caliber" but honestly most people don't even bother doing that. When I hear "next Barry Sanders, Marshall Faulk, Dickerson, etc." I just generally get irritated with it because, more often than not, it's in regards to rookies. I know that Bell gets a lot of high praise too and comparisons but he does at least have a few years under his belt. Dallas had another rb on the field today that looked like a perennial stud a few years ago and his name is Morris. Now he's backing up a rookie. One good season does not a bust in Canton make.

I don't know how a loss can be the game of the year, but I admire your optimism. I don't share it at all, but I still admire it.

I predicted 9-7 a few weeks ago. The hilarious part of that is we will probably win the division with that. We won't win a playoff game but I guess we can hang another banner.

Seriously, if this team loses to Cleveland. I'm done watching the rest of the year, and doing something more constructive with my Sundays.

I don't think this team has 4-5 wins left in them. Looking at the remaining schedule... the Colts and Bills road games are pretty much definite losses with the way the Steelers have played on the road this season. 7-9 looks more realistic.

Giants are on the mend and have won 3 straight. Cruz and Beckham will destroy our D.

I think I will stand by my opinion of before the Dallas game. The Steelers will still go 6 and 1 the rest of the way and win the division. I didn't like the results of the game yesterday but the Steelers showed they are almost ready to play football again and with the remaining schedule they will be okay. I think they beat the Browns by two touchdowns and am betting them heavy. They might not win the SB but they will be in the playoffs and then you just never know what might happen. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
