I think this has been posted before about how the steelers feel about him but I have a story from last night I would like to share

its high school playoff time and some of my old friends and classmates get together and watch some games this time of year. one buddy is a former player in the nfl. we got to talking about the national anthem protests. I made the statement that I didn't think any steelers had done it. my buddy said I am sure they haven't.

I thought he said it because of Villanueva. he said it because of tomlin. he is very impressed with him and said he would love to have played for him. now keep in mind he played for parcells and vermil. he said in that locker room it would not be an issue. simply because the players respect the rooneys and tomlin. he does still talk to at least one current steeler player.

we talked about an hour about it and was really the first time I had picked his brain about the coaches in the league when he played and really the first time I had ever really talked to him about locker rooms. he normally doesn't like to but last night was a good night.

I am not gonna sit here and type everything we talked about but I can say that I am a little more convinced that tomlin isn't a problem.

getting back to Villanueva I can say I respect him more after hearing more about him. he is a real role model

AV is the new Heath as far as I'm concerned when it comes to the player I think is the biggest role model on the team. It's not even close really. I'd say I might put Cam as number 2 in that category.

yep AV is my favorite player now since heath is gone. a stand up guy that works hard. doesn't complain about being the lowest paid starting LT in the league, just does his job. i hope they end up paying him. he deserves a nice contract and we can solidify the LT spot. i would love a team full of guys like him. :applaud::cool:

I think they will. I mean he has to be one of the top rated left tackles doesn't he? at least top ten.
