No no no Blast I have said it before I do not expect killing every show but I do expect a show. What did we see last night 50% show 50% commercial. The wife did watch it last night so we dvr'd it for her maybe when she watches it I will time it just for ****s and giggles but I have a feeling I have better things to do.

I am not saying the story of Daryl-Dwight and the whole Negan thing don't need to be told. I am saying I am disappointed in how they are telling the stories while leaving other stories out for weeks. For the last 2 weeks we have saw in the previews Negan knocking at the gates where Rick and the group are. Just when are we gonna see that....mid season finale????

I am sorry you think I am crazy but I am pretty sure I am not alone. The season premier had more viewers then the super bowl because of this dumb ass cliff hanger and it was, in the words of Negan......AWSOME! Now since then we haven't seen the results of this, you know the main characters....that's 2 weeks wth???? I understand there are other stories I get it but imo TWD is taking advantage of increased popularity due to this cliff hanger and cashing in with more ads and less show. There is enough show, enough time to cover more then one story, jmo.

I guess we will see next week as the previews show the main group so I guess my bitching will be over.....

I said I was disappointed with how long they are making us wait. But yesterdays show was great, regardless of that.

Next week will definitely be about Alexandria and Hilltop. Oh wait, maybe they will just focus on Maggie and Hilltop, that ought to put you over the edge :lolol:

In my life, I've never been more aware of the number of commercial breaks in a TV show than last night's episode. At least 3 times I said "what, already?"

From now on I'm going to resist tuning in at 9 and just start watching on my DVR at about 9:25. I should get caught up right at 10.

I think they have about 30-60 minutes of unfinished Carol/Morgan stuff to get to first.

I know this is edging pretty close to crossing the board's rules, but it's funny so, enjoy.

    So true.

As far as this episode, I enjoyed it, but I agree that it's taking a little too long to get back to the rest of the group to see how/what they're doing after the first episode.

Part of me thought Daryl should fake allegiance to Negan to try to earn his trust, and then later make a break for it or do something else, but I think it fit Daryl's character much better to show defiance like he did when he answered "Who are you" with "Daryl." And we may have gotten a little more insight into why Dwight is behaving the way he is, but I still can't stand him and I'd love to see Daryl take him out.

Just curious what everyone thought of this...did you think the music in Daryl's cell was real?

I did. I thought it was there as a torture tactic, to keep him from being able to sleep and from having any break from the noise, keeping him from getting any peace at all. Throw that in with being naked and sitting on a hard floor continuously, and those are some pretty dire circumstances.

My wife didn't think it was being played in the cell at first, but I pointed out to her that it often started back up on cue when the door was closed, as if it was on purpose. There was also one or two times that the music was still playing, but more softly when Daryl was moving away from the cell, indicating that it was still playing in the cell while he was moving away.

Yup, definitely real, sleep deprivation. That, and driving the point home that everything is sweet when living on easy street. Plus, Dwight switched it to the crying song when he put Glenn's picture in there.

    All designed to break him.

At first I thought it was background music for the show but then thought it was real.

My daughter in the USAF who has done SERE training kind of giggled at this episode. Yes, this is a tactic. She said at least he had room to lie down and stretch his legs. And at least he didn't have this on constant loop:

Good Lord, I'm a little disturbed you even know about this, whatever it is :lolol:

I'll take Daryls song but still don't even what he is going through.

Boots boots moving up and down again boots boots moving up and down again.

My daughter said they played it at full volume on an endless loop while they were in tiny isolation type cells that they could neither stand nor lie down in. It... had the desired effect. But I suppose any song or poem would be torture after a while.

Yeah, but all that time they spent on this episode still didn't tell us Dwight's story though.

How does he know how to conduct this type of breaking down of a person?

Is that his sole job to break new captures that Negan brings in?

What exactly did he do for Negan before the betrayal and face ironing besides being his right hand man?

Exactly what does right hand man entail? Sure looks like there's not much overseeing going on by him or any high level planning and coordination.

I assumed that Dwight knew how to do this because it had been done to him. He said some things to Daryl that indicated that he'd been through it and that he knew how Daryl was feeling, and that he'd break eventually. But Daryl is proving that he's tougher than Dwight was.

Nope, not nearly as bad as Easy Street. That song had me broken in 20 seconds.

Yeah, and some guy who thinks it's funny keeps playing it for me on his cell everytime he sees me at work because he knows it drives me bonkers. Not nice!

I don't know why I tell people stuff. I'm turning into the female version of @Ray D@Ray D. :lolol:

Yeah, thinking this will be another bottle episode. What was that other set of people that are out there alone? If we're going to get another settlement meeting, they have to spend an episode on that.
