Haley wasted the first quarter forcing the run with Bell, it clearly wasn't working. Ben had Eli open a few times instead he threw a bad pass to AB incomplete. Mike Mitchell sucks, he takes bad angles when trying to tackle.

 

Agree, but I think Haley wasted at least 2 quarters forcing the run with Bell and it wasn't working.

 

I would only say, that Tomlin and co. Dropped the ball by leaving Ben in with his terrible performance. Pros are different than high school or college, but... Maybe a change creates a spark. If nothing else, it protects their golden boy who obviously was ready to go.

 

The 12 men on the field penalty at the end of the half was awful too.

 

Yeah that's unacceptable.

 

Rap albums, twerking, boasting about scoring 30/game, drug suspensions...this is not a disciplined and focused team with very little leadership...and the results are showing.

 

Coaches coach and players play no doubt.


Then again, the rapper did not have any "beats" (offensive line) to make rhymes, the whole 30 points a game needs to go at this point and just win, and the twerk master needs some help.


As for the suspensions, arrogance and self importance for those who commit such acts.

 

so are you absolving the coaches in this loss? that seems very biased.

 

I did say coaches coach and players play. I did not state that coaches were impervious to criticism. Double digit penalties is quite unusual for Tomlin and the special teams as a whole was just bad.


Keith was the big winner today given the fact that the defense still help keep the game in check.

 

Sorry, Glenn. Didn't realize it was against the rules to make reference to a previous post in a more current post. Guess I should have read the small print when I signed up a little more closely. Thanks for enlightening me. So embarrassed.

Not sure about the rules part of it.

 

It'd be nice if they could put Bell as WR and put Deangelo in the game at times. How productive was he the while Bell was out and I know he has been injured, but to just keep running "patient" Bell up the middle for 1-2 yard gains time after time does not make sense to me.

The offense stunk mainly due to the play calling and it seemed Ben went back to rookie Ben and only focused to 1 side of the field till it was too late in the game.

The defense played one of their best games all year and Timmons actually broke up a pass over the middle rather than 10-20 yard gain he consistently gives up.

With the amount of penalties and horrendous special team play the final score of 21-14 was not indicative of the actual game. Cannot wait to hear the repetitive Tomlin comments of we were outplayed in all phases of the game.

Not throwing in the towel yet, but its an uphill battle and with the inconsistent play i'd expect to it to be the final few weeks and needing to win out and have other teams control our playoff destiny to possibly get in

I just tired of seeing them look so bad. I mean a division I triple A team looks better. Its been awhile since this team looked crisped, precise, in rhythm when they lose. I posted this somewhere else but we look so unprepared I'm not sure what they do in practice.

Hair ball (who actually had a plan) was going to stop Bell and see if a coming off injury Ben could beat them. Tomlin ( no adjustment) could not react to this and kept,running Dancing Bell into jammed up fronts.

I think, and have always thought that Todd, no brains, Haley is one of the worst in the business. Despite all the running yards the Ravens gave up week 8; when was the last time we have been able to run on them? He said we were not ready to become one dimensional. We already were. Just because you hand the ball off doesn't make you a balanced team. You have to gain yards in both the pass and rush to be balanced. We were clearly going nowhere with the run yet he kept going to it throughout the 3rd quarter?????? If he can't figure that out whats the point of him be there. He has absolutely no feel for this team at all. The stats say that Ben is healthier and getting sacked less. Who cares about that if we are having to claw our way into every playoff birth. I would rather have a beat up QB (which we have anyway) and be 6-2; than a healthy qb on a fing mediocre team. He (haley) just makes my blood boil. There was not one coach on the sideline this week showing any emotion. It looked like someone was making call the crap plays they were calling. Fire HALEY. He is and always has been too relaxed for this so called "high flying offense". The offense should not be this teams problem; yet they are.

 

The game plan should be authored and administered by Tomlin with Haley executing it. You don't think Daniels comes up with the game plan in New England do you or do you think Bill B takes care of that?

 

I wouldn't give Harbaugh too much credit. The Ravens looked pretty bad until the blocked punt.

In comparison, we looked utterly awful. But I wouldn't credit Harbaugh for orchestrating a tactical masterpiece or anything.

 

Agreed, but you don't need to orchestrate a masterpiece to outplan Tomlin.

 

I think on offense, Haley is a problem (not the only problem). He seems to out-think himself most of the time.
On defense, they just aren't that good right now talent-wise and the last several top defensive draft picks have been china dolls.
That's just my opinion.
