Happier with the backup, less happy with Tomlin.

My Walter Ego had similar dark thoughts about this. The 2004 season conjures up a similar pattern though we were at full strength when we first met that season PLUS game two was at Heinz but we still got out-coached and out-played royally. Of note, our three post Y2K SB appearances did not require us to face Brady or the Pats in the playoffs. hmmmmmmmm Think I resume my search for Tanya H's phone #.

There are no guarantees the Steelers will be healthier in the playoffs. They've got a bunch of guys who seemingly get hurt every year.

To the OP, mildly happy they didn't get boat raced, but they still lost by 11 at home. The Pats beat Arizona on the road with their backup QB.

And certainly not happy with the defense, and neither were Shazier and Heyward judging by the comments they made.

    Guess they're not very pragmatic.

If we would have stopped the run game Tom Brady and the two TE's would have freaking annihilated us. Game plan was great we just missed opportunities. Look at the stats we beat them in every part of the game: TO's, T.O.P, Yards. They made a few bigger plays. If that crappy holding call would not have negated a TD the game would have been different.

I think, just maybe, there back up is better than ours, and the Cards aren't all they were cracked up to be.
