We won one last year...

 

Duh they won a playoff game last season, even if the Bengals imploded it still counts as a win. A HOF QB who can't play a full season either because he's oft injured, and they're still in first place in the AFCN at 4-3.

 

Really? No we didn't. The bengals won that game for us.

Besides the fact we lucked our way into that game. It basically took a miracle for is to back into the playoffs, we were all but eliminated. Short memory?

They had us beat. Game was over. You wanna give credit for a win? I don't.

We didn't win anything, we were easily eliminated the next week. We got a W but we didn't earn a playoff win in 5+ years. It bothers me, sorry. I think we have the talent to win playoff games and compete for lombardies because I think Ben, Bell, and Brown are aweome . Most teams would dream to have a HOF QB in his prime. We lose to teams like the Dolohkns and Ravens fairly often.

 

I wouldn't call a bad Ryan Fitzpatrick game a miracle. I would call a good Ryan Fitzpatrick game a miracle. We got in to the playoffs because the Jets lost. That's the rules. Do you think we should basically commit seppuku as a team if we don't get in by controlling our own destiny and just let another team have our spot out of honor?

 

We needed help from other teams to get in. So yes we got in but backed in. Not the point though.. Point being with the talent we have we should NOT be talking about backing into the playoffs. You want to rejoice in our dominant win over the Bengals last year.. go ahead . As impressive as it was, we havn't beaten a team in the playoffs in 5 years. I'm a little puzzled how so many steeler fans can be ok with this fact but what ever. I guess we all have different expectations. Underachieving has been the theme for this team for 5+ years now. That's not on me. That's just a fact. Im ok with an occasional bad year but 5 in a row? Anyone overly confident this year is going to be different? We've already been thumped by the Dolphins, Eagles, and Patriots and it's week 7. We can't stop the run and we are inconsistent at just about every aspect of the game. I can't help but think "here we go again"... another year with a franchise QB wasted.

Maybe we can run the table when Ben gets back. We shall see.

 

We were hurt like always but still won enough games to be in that position. If we got lucky to make the playoffs but won the super bowl would anyone complain?
