I will be shocked if Ben doesn't start against Baltimore.

I simply don't subscribe to the correlation most Steelers fans buy regarding "bad teams"

I agree ,,unless there was some other damage somewhere ,he should already be up and running around just fine ..
There really is no healing time for this type of injury ..
They go in, cut out the tear and the knee works like new ..

I saw somewhere that the doc had to clean up other damage from previous injuries while he was in there.

I look at it like this. Jones has to win the division games and go 2-2. If we beat Baltimore and Cleveland, we will be at 6-4 when Ben comes back. But better than that, it still puts us in first for the division.

Cinn - Already has 4 losses. Even if they go 4-0, we still are tied with them holding the head to head tiebreaker.
Balt - With a loss to us, even with them going 3-1 during those 4 weeks, we still end up tied at 6-4 with use holding the head to head tiebreaker.
Cleveland - Only put them here because they are in the division. No chance for division title.

So we will be sitting at 6-4 when Ben comes back with 6 games left to play. If we repeat that 4-2 start, we are sitting at 10-6 and probably host a wildcard game the first weekend.

The thing we lose with all of this is a chance for home field through the playoffs. We had that opportunity, even after a bad showing in Miami and all the injuries we have.

Honestly, finding a way to beat New England would be HUGE and could potentially set us up for a 1st round by if we can put things together and get healthy.

Yes he can do a lot of damage, but that damage is to the running game, the passing game, the st's units, and the defense of the Team he plays for, and to all of the crazy fans who actually think he can play winning Football ....That is the rest of that evaluation..

Be very careful here PWP don't let your zeal back you into a hole you can't get out of. Your two recent man crushes have been subpar football players of late and they aren't any where neat as important to the team as a QB.

Eli has played well when healthy and DHB has made some nice plays as well...The QB decides who gets the looks and now we have a QB who might not find anyone but different color jerseys...

Eli kicked his own foot and knocked himself out for three weeks and you are still singing his praises. Meanwhile you are just shredding the guy that has to get the job done. Do you see where I'm going with this?

i guess ..It seems you have faith in him and unlike Eli or DHB i have no faith in him to play well..Eli and DHB show signs that they could step up and to me Landry does not..Steven A sees it the same as me..

Yeah because we should care what he says. Look if Eli and DHB don't step up or do and screw up its not a big deal they go soit and come back out and do it again , no one cares. This week and until Ben is healed Jones is who we have and there isn't a try to play he has to play end of story. The coaches say he is the guy, he's the guy.

Eli and DHBs performances have been no more or less promising than Jones. Jones' throws aren't as accurate as Ben? How about DHBs catching... Jones has less pocket presence than Ben? How about Rogers' footwork...

And as has been proven time and time again just because the Coaches say he is the guy that doesn't mean he can play like the guy ...We have showed that in our draft selections a bunch as well...

I seriously think we would have a better shot with Bell at QB and running a HS offense ....We could always run, run, run punt , but that won't work because the Defense sucks ....I really see no clear path to victory unless a act of God forces the Pats to forfeit...

So the coache's are right about your guys and you will take their word for it about how good they are but when it isn't one of your guys the coaches are wrong?

Nope some guys I like the Coaches don't...Some the Coaches like and I don't ....And then we agree on some ..Most of the time the guys I like starts with some type of tape whether that be HS,College,Preseason or whatever...I see nothing that tells me that Jones can be a decent NFL QB ...I think when he leaves the Steelers he will not get another NFL QB job....

Can he prove me wrong ,of course he can ..Will he? I highly doubt it.....

He has played winning football. Who do you think that was in Arizona last season? A win that helped them make the playoffs.

You calling fans crazy is incredibly rich with the stuff you spew on here.

Good analysis. Best we can hope for is a #2 seed and for someone else to take out New England in the playoffs.

Landry beat the Cards in Pittsburgh, not Arizona. And he did it with Martavis making two great plays with average passes that he threw.
