I'm with you, but next week is going to be rough, especially the way the injury bug continues to nail us.

At least Baltimore and Cincinnati lost, it makes the loss a little easier to take.

No it is not in my book, cause I was actually dumb enough to really think we could get 1 seed. Not happening and that blows...........

Got lucky today. Harbaugh's going for it instead of taking the 3 points ended up being huge.

AWESOME. We're #1. We're #1. Crap, that game sucked. Why are the Tomlin teams so putrid on the road against the league's bottom feeders?

Being the best of the worse is always a comforting position to take in life. Miami played with passion and was motivated to win from the very first play of the game. The first place team in the AFC Central - not so much.

    It's not all that matters.

    But it still matters.

You're slipping, dude. Your threads used to be much more antagonising than this.

all I'm really going to say, is that we should be very happy at 5-2 into the bye.

And if they are 5-2 into the bye, then it's going to be the right 5-2.

Things are never as bad as they seem, or as good as they appear to be.

Miami played with passion and they were still horrible. They didn't win because they played a great game, they won because the steelers didn't show up to the football game. An average game and it wouldn't have been close.

The Steelers pretty much have to win next week against the Pats if they want to have a realistic shot of getting homefield over them in the playoffs. They can't afford to fall 2 full games behind the Pats and lose the head to head tiebraker as well. That will be just too much to overcome in my opinion. It's good to see both Balt and Cincy lose but I also look at it as a huge missed opportunity for the Steelers today to really put a strangle hold on this division by going 3 games up on Cincy and 2 games up on the Ravens.

Dolphins shut the Steelers offense down. Think about that for a second. This is a .500 team... and I've said it all along. Weak, one-dimensional crap that is shut down with any good performance from the opposing D-line. Defense can't stop the run without Heyward.

I was thinking more insidious but either way you are correct.

This is easily the most simplistic win-win situation.

Pittsburgh gets another helping of humble pie by a desperate team...

... yet Pittsburgh is still no. 1 in the AFC North.

The Raiders about to lose as well so it keeps the Steelers in good shape for now to get the 2 seed with both the Broncos and Raiders.

This might be the most positive real steel post of all time, did someone hack his account?
