Looks like Coates will be feast or famine for a bit.

What's up with Coates hand?

 

Considering Coates screwed up twice on that drive, pretty impressive.

 

I have been watching that game. Same old Pats. Brady has a perfect pocket to throw in. Has a wide open first or second option. Tends to throw a three yard pass that is turned into 15 yards by run after the catch.

 

Any update on Cam?

 

Coates has the hands of DHB(sorry pwp) can catch long balls just not short

 

Overkill? Do you not see the attention Bell is getting. Other guys are going to end up being open due to this. It's a means to an end. They're covering everyone else so they go heavy to Bell. Then other things open up and Ben can hit those guys.

 

That replay should show why Bell has six catches and what it brings

There was quite an inspection of Coates hands by 2 Steelers coaches. Wonder if they found the missing fingers?

 

Yup. If he's constantly open or producing then why not!

Yeah I've said that I thought they were using it to set up the pass but my thing is NY must just be willing to concede everything underneath since Coates has shown he can beat them over the top. On the James td AB was doubled hard in the corner.

 

He's pulling doubles over the top, and triple brackets from LBs. leaving Bell to work free and Coates to be singled regularly. We're moving the ball at will because NY is focused on taking AB away.

It doesn't make sense to force it to Brown if he's covered. Look at what happened with Julio. For the first 3 weeks defenders keyed in on him and Atlanta spread the ball around and won. So the defence went back to playing honest in week 4 and Julio got 300 yards. Take what the defence gives you. Brown will get his eventually

Not a big fan of Hubbard, but practicing at LG last week and now starting this game at RT is no small feat. I haven't keyed on him much but he seems to be holding his own. Hats off to him so far...

As far as AB goes, I`m wondering if he is going to be ok mentally being just a decoy for the most part. I mean it seems going forward the opposing team takes him out of the game for the most part leaving Coates and Bell getting easier catches.

Will he be thinking he`d rather be somewhere else? If he goes to a team without an elite QB, he won`t get double coverage.
