I think he needs to bulk up...

He may lose speed, but maybe that is a good thing, when you see him over run plays.

In the Eagles game there was a play where a guard got his mitts on him and it was game over.

    IDK

Adding weight generally doesn't prevent knee and ankle injuries. And being slow and heavy doesn't help anything. I can speak to that.

While some people attest Shazier's injuries due to lack of bulk... I personally believe it to be a different reason.

    His play style.

He plays with an absolute reckless abandon and tenacity we have not seen since the days of Troy. The issue lies in his over aggressive nature of tackling.

Last year in the San Francisco game.. he got his shoulder smashed into. This year... his knee is acting up.

He still does display all the traits to be a grest linebacker. He just needs to work on when to utilize his reckless abandon as Troy learned this as well.

    Hi Deone

In keeping with this, in his next to last season, because of injuries, Troy played a lot more snaps at linebacker than he did safety.

I'd like to see a comparison, of games missed to injury, of our 1st-3rd round draft picks since 2010 compared to the rest of the league.

More weight is good on the knees.

You are correct Glenn... I always thought my 130lb sassy Latina wife on my lap did my knees wonders hahahaha

I don't think weight is the issue either. Plenty of others in the league with similar builds and not missing as much time. I chalk it up to playing style and bad luck.
